Although my pictures don't compete with the great shots you folks are putting up, here is an old Holley wharncliffe whittler with cocobola scales. Knife 3 3/4" closed. Charles

Charles, I don't know where you find all these great knifes, you are a lucky man with great taste. I keep coming back to this one though. This Holley whittler blows me away every time I see it. Thank you for sharing it.

The first constructive thread in this forum from me ;)

I got these two guys at a local fleamarket. I have no idea how old these two are, but I gonna post this in Bernards forum. Here are the pics for you... They are really big in hands. But I have to do some cleaning jobs on both of them

One of them has a tang stamp by Robert Klaas alias "Kissing Cranes", the other knife has no tang stamp.

Cool knives... I´m looking for your opinions.

Kind regards

Thank you Kevin!

What do you guys think, are the handles on the Klaas knife made of ebony?

Kind regards
Andi

Won this one on eBay last night, been wanting to get another barlow and a lot of barlows I've found on the older side of things were in bad condition...this cost less than most rough riders do, will be my new daily.

I can't either, I really like the steel bolsters...they seem to wear better than nickel silver, going to have to keep my eye out for more from craftsman.

Nice buy Robert. When I was on Ebay last night I actually saw this one. Just some WD-40 and steel wool and it'll clean right up.

At first I'll likely just oil it with mineral oil and go from there, a lot of that surface corrosion will stabilize and go black or wipe off...bought some old imperials a while back as users and did the same, I hate using abrasives unless I absolutely have to.

Hi Charles!

I really like your posts here in the forum. Your knives are really old and cool looking. I´ve seen your display about storing them. Great pieces :) Congratz!

Kind regards
Andi
