Nice Knifes Paul H, Jason and Lambertiana! Here is an old Cattaraugus 3 1/2" ebony jack model 21826. There is a lot of blade stuffed into that frame.

Just noticed there's an etch on the main blade Jason. Love the pattern and the company.

This is Tony Bose's daddy barlow. A rare pattern in its own right, but this one has never been used. (Kerry's photos.)

OH MY G....
Those are some absolutely lovely knives there guys, Tony's Remington would have stopped me in my tracks if I was walking and laid eyes on that stunning knife! Jason...v.cool Miller...just great, Paul that Schrade has great scales...thats an all-round beautiful knife right there!
Paul..that Catt. of yours is a real beaut!
I keep going back to Tony's Remington, such beautiful conditioned saw cut Bone!... I just love them Daddy Barlows

Wow Mike that Barlow is cool on every level!!! Thanks for showing not only a great knife but terrific pictures as well.

Paul

Geezzz, Mike! That is one fine barlow...and right where it belongs...in Tony's possession. Thanks for sharing Kerry's images of one awesome traditional.

Duncan, I think we would be hard pressed to find anyone else on this sub forum with as much enthusiasm for knives as you, and that's saying something.

Anyhoo, Tony said this Russell daddy barlow of his is even more rare than the Remington. Kerry once again gets the photo credit.

That stag Russell is a beauty! Sure like the bone on that Miller Bro. too Jason!! ;) Thank you both for sharing!!!

Dave

Thank you Mike, how can one NOT get enthused about all of our knives here, then you go and put that beautiful Russell up...Wow..and thank you for doing so!
Tony...I admire you for your talents as one of the higher grade knife makers....and to boot you have these wonderful treasures...thank you for allowing us to have a glimpse of these wonderful knives... it does mean a lot to us.

Wow an outstanding line of remarkable knives, it is never enough. That's why I love the vintage slip joints.
Here is Schrade Cut. Co. jack with sheep foot blade, which is my favorite shape, at first I thought it was modified spear point, but after I got it I believe its the original shape. I also saw similar knife at an old Schrade catalog image. The snap is very loud and everything is tight, what a joy. not the main blade kick it's an older shape

Hers a couple of vintage knives---I apologize for the poor pictures---slight drizzle outside while trying to take them.

First is one of my very favorites! A Robeson Sure Edge Rochester tang stamped "Jimmy Allen" 2 blade Jack:thumbup: I have the "little Big Book" of Jimmy Allen as well as some other associated trinkets from the long gone radio program "The Air Adventures of Jimmy Allen" that was sponsored by Skelly Oil from 1933 to 1937. I have to dig that other stuff up some day. The knife measures 3 5/16 closed.

That Jimmy Allen is wonderful! I see why its a favorite. I had never heard of the radio show and I will have to see if I can find it. Thanks for sharing, Paul.

The Otter is cool too..gotta love Otters:D

Mike, that Schrade Cut Co is a jewel as well.

And Mike Robuck....I have enjoyed the knives you have shared with us immensely.

I mirror your words Gevonovich my friend...just amazing!,

Paul that J.Allen would be one of my favourites as well..... hows that for a way cool badge! and nice Bone -hey everything about that knife is great-that was a good day when you laid your paws on that one I bet! I think the smaller blade being a neat clip shape is always a winner! it worked just superbly on this Jack!

Gevonovich and Duncan thank you for the kind words---the Jimmy Allen knife and additional Radio Show promotional pieces harken back to a truly innocent time.

The radio show and old knife seem tied to each other in my opinion. There's also a fixed blade out there as well---I saw one here one time in the "fixed blade" thread. Some of Jimmy Allen promotional pieces are neat as can be---wing and plane badges, puzzles, maps etc... In fact "Captain Midnight" is a spin off of the "Jimmy Allen" radio show!

Any insight on the covers on the Otter would be much appreciated:thumbup:

Paul

Paul, I just listened to three episodes!! Exactly, the days of innocents and what a joy to listen too! " Jimmy there is something wrong with the engine. Sputter, sputter. I know, Flash! It could be anything. We better find a place to put her down, and quick." :D

I love flying, knives and Robeson...now I need a Jimmy Allen
