"Old Knives"

I do wish you could click and enlarge these pictures for closer inspection. My enlargements dilute resolution.

If possible please inform me.

Your ability to enlarge and not lose resolution if limited by what resolution the picture was taken at and how it was compressed and posted. Sometimes you can click on a photo and it will take you to the hosting site, where you can view the photo. If you right click on a pic and then go to image info, you can see where the image is hosted and go to view it there.

If your on a newer Apple machine you can use the touch screen to enlarge the photo with some degree of success.

Another possibility if to copy and paste into a program like Photoshop and use some features to enhance the photo to bring out those aspects you want to see. The last resort would be to ask the poster to send you a copy of the full resolution photo to view.

Hope this helps

I got this knife from a sale in Germany. It was made during the socialistic time in East Germany (People´s Republic)

It is stamped as "MW" which means "Messerfabrik Weimar". A nice piece of cutlery from socialistic time in East Germany

My Grandpa's old Colonial. It has developed a nice natural patina over the years.

Here's a couple of old Imperial Scout knives, excellent condition and a great representation of the quality cutlery they produced.

I picked up an old Remington Scout knife with a unique blade set up, the knife has a good bit of wear on it but has good walk and talk and is solid enough for edc.

1953 British army folding knife, old and still going strong! Lovely bit of history commonly known as an 'oily joints' by local collectors.

Probably my oldest knife and one that lives in my favourite waist coat pocket :)

It features a single blade, can opener and pry bar type thing that is fixed to the slipjoints.

One of my favorites, a Hoffritz 2 blade stag congress.

I like this a lot

I've got a Hoffritz from the Bay some time back. Described as stag but it's some kind of very weathered bone or even composite.. It's a Serp pen single spring with sabre ground master. Rather scruffy and gappy but it's got fantastic steel and W&T. Been thinking about having it re-handled as it isn't rare or valuable.
