"Old Knives"

Just got this Robeson Jack in, I believe it qualifies nicely. ;)

Oh boy, what a sweet old Robie! Love the jigging on that bone, the shield is really cool, that small size end cap is quite stylish, and the blades are full... Home run!

I finally have something that I hope is worthwhile to contribute to this great thread.

Just received this in the mail today, Robeson ShurEdge #622359 pen knife, 3.172" closed. Seller posted dates of 1894-1948,
and called it a swayback pen knife. Any help on the pattern name or dates would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I freely admit I know next to nothing about older knives like this, but got such a good price on this I couldn't resist.
Please, anyone with Robeson expertise, comment on originality and possible value (though I will never sell this one!)
I simply could not resist the tip bolsters and butterscotch bone. Blades are full and W&T excellent. Thanks in advance for any info.

Great acquisition Jeff.

I particularly like the tip bolsters, I've got an old worn Rem Senator in similar style. Really wish GEC would put these bolsters on their forthcoming small No.9 pattern.

Regards, Will

Thanks guys. Your additions are really great

You are right Rick- a wonderful knife for sure.

Jeff- that bone is simply gorgeous! To say its a keeper is so right- unless you wanted to send it to me then you could be forgiven :-)

Not sure how old it is but I had wanted a "new" pearl knife a few weeks back and ended up with this Hibbard Spencer Bartlett Co. lobster. Sorry but I don't have pics of the stamps handy.
