"Old Knives"

Vince, this thread sure has some great miles on it with plenty more to go.

Nice pictures of some great knives Primble.

I like the Remington stockman.

I posted this one in the Ka-Bar thread but may as well post it here as well.

The patent for the lock was filed in 1921 and granted in 1923. The inventor of this lock, which didn't work that well after the bolster catch wore down, also invented the locking liner that was used by Cattaraugus on a few its patterns. You can see the patent here.

Thank you Mike and I am glad you posted it here too. I love the dogs head shield knives that they produced and your is a very fine one!!!:)

Wow Mike that is amazing!! Thanks for adding it here.

As I might have mentioned I reduced my collection to very few ones that I carry. But from time to time I see something that I can not resist, one of these is the following Schatt and Morgan dogleg

The K-Bar is something else, Mr. Robuck! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Mr. Berkovitch...if your going to pair down...you picked a pair that displays the cutlers art quite well!

Man, those doglegs are crazy nice. The blades on that S&M look virtually unused. Fantastic!

Thanks Primble, Vince and Gevonovich. Union/Ka-Bar had some nice jigged bone.

I'm sure I've posted this Winchester dogleg before, but I recently re-took photos or scans of some knives for a project so here it is again. I think it has early Winchster/Napanoch bone.

Oh WOW another beauty Mike. You can post it as much as you like.
Do you have by chance a photo of the other side of the knife? I'll be happy to have a look.

Mike
