"Old Knives"

Mighty fine Redbone collection, Duncan!
It has been said they are the most collected knife - with good reason!

Great Trout Hardware serpetine lobster , one of the best I've seen lately. And Duncan, your knives are glowing. I love these old red bone Case knives more and more, the CASE XX 8 DOT 6232 is my favorite.

Mike

Some real beauties Primble, Charles and Duncan. It would be hard for me to pick a favorite out of your redbone herd Duncan, but maybe the barlow.

Thank you Gentleman, I owe a lot to a few people here in Traditionals, the Red Bone is simply Beautiful stuff all right!

Got an old knife from my grandpa last week. He says it's from the 40's. It was his knife when he was with the scouts, and that is a while ago!

Here's a real nice old whittler from long ago. It has that fine craftsmanship commonly found in the knives from the distant past and some of the nicest MOP in my collection!

Primble - now that's how you take a photo of Red Bone, as I said before, I just will not rush on any shots of my knives anymore-rushed shots do NO justice to knives that deserve to be shown at their best - like yours!!! FANTASTIC.
All those Red bones are just beautiful Primble.
Thank you for sharing.
67nick - that Wade is one hang of a knife - absolutely LOVE those Tang stamps!!

Duncan,

I probably spend more time than what most people would want to on getting pictures of my ole red bone knives.
They are kind of my "pride and joy" knives.
I truly enjoyed seeing part of your red bone "herd" and know what you are saying, however, I very much enjoyed your knives and pictures.
I get to see mine all the time and getting to see someone else's red bones is a special treat.
I think there might be a few others here that could break out those fine old XX's, I guess we will just have to wait and see.:D

I also agree with you on 67 nick's ole knife - I saw those slender swedged blades and those elegant tang stamps and thought "whoa"!!! :D

Best regards,
Primble

That Wade Bros. is quite the knife. Imagine grinding those secondary blades! Great pictures and knives Primble. I guess should spend more time on my pictures.

Thanks for the comments Mike and Stephen! You all can take over any time you feel like it. ;)

Fes up, Primble. You are actually a time traveler, going back to buy these knives new. It's the explanation of how you acquire these perfectly mint vintage knives. You come back to our time, with knives and change in your pockets. :D
