"Old Knives"

Old and in the way will never be in the way here in Traditionals-he seems like one hang-of-a-nice-guy, and to gift such a stunning knife such as that beautiful example you have shown in your tremendous way you do....just Wow factor.

Stunning knife-that Bone used on the Primble is particularly nice indeed!

Can I say this, be it a bold statement? ..... that Primble shown could sit side by side with any Schrade Walden and still look good respectfully!

Duncan,
I always enjoy "hearing from you" with all your well crafted responses and I also enjoy those outstanding ole knives you post every so often. ;)

I agree with you about the knife and also "Old & in the Way".

Thank you friend!
"Primble"

P.S. - Not JUST your ole knives - I can't seem to forget about all those magnificent Charlows you have either! ;):D

Here's one that is not as nice looking as some that have been posted here. It was well used, but well taken care of. I dug it out and started carrying it again some. It sits well in the pocket.

Really a lot of nice character in that ole Schrade Walden, Glenn!

I always love that well used, but, well taken care of look in an ole knife.

The wear on the blades on this one gives the knife a character that cannot be matched by a new knife, in my opinion.:thumbup::)

I would guess that it sits really "proud" in your pocket. ;)

Absolutely nice looking - at least in my book! :)

Thanks for that Primble  I appreciate that, the SFO's of Charlies not only to have effected me so strongly -its great to see nearly everyone following them with such passion.

Great knife Glenn, I sat and stared at that very cool knife, its neat looking at those scales and just staring into the wear on them and getting lost into appreciating just how cool this knife looks after the amount of hard work that knife has been put to!

I shall contribute! This is my Robeson Rochester NY 1910-20 Daddy Barlow. Not mint but killer sharp and a wicked snap and full blade. This was another junk box find. I love to carry, but I baby it a bit :)

Some of the members have occasionally asked to see a group shot of my old red bone Case XX's. I finally made the time:

This is all but five of my red bones. Absent are the larger Trappers, Barlow, Copperhead, etc.

Tell me which picture you like the best and I will edit one out in a day or two, so as to not hog up too much room on our beloved thread. ;)

I hope I did them justice by doing this - hard to do with so much bling in one picture! :D

Beautiful, Primble. Hard to pick, but I think I like the first picture better. Maybe that's just because I saw it first and thought "Perfect!"
You have a red bone Barlow? Have we seen that one?

If you'll allow me, I'm gonna use one of these as my desktop. They're a sight for sore eyes, good eyes, and everything in between!:D

Thank you Rachel - I have posted that ole Barlow in the past, but, it has been a while. Just because you asked:

Thank you sir and you or anyone else here are always welcome to use any of my pictures for your own use - if you so choose! ;)

Those put my barlow to shame... beautiful!

Thank you so much, but, I have to respectfully disagree.

I think your old Robeson stands tall on it's own merits and as a well taken care of user!

They are kind of at different ends of the spectrum, if you will, but, I have a deep respect for both ends!

No shame for that ole Robeson at all - in my opinion and I was happy to get to see it. ;)

Oh my! Those are quite stunning together, Primble!

Primble, great photos of great knives, it is sheer pleasure to watch them over and over again

Those put my barlow to shame... beautiful!

Accujohn, on the contrary your barlow is good example of a vintage knife of excellent quality, nothing to be a shame of. But I can ease your burden just send it over to me if you like :D

Wonderful collection, amazingly photographed, Mr. Primble!
I, too would like to borrow your pic for my desktop, if you don't mind,!?

Love it, Glen! One of my favorite patterns and yours is a gem.

Maybe he has early onsite Alzheimers...lol

Picked this up at a local auction. Ordered in 1967. Still need a 6347 with 65-69 stamp and must be minty..

Thanks,
