"Old Knives"

I think you need to use a picture hosting site such as Photobucket or Tinypic or others. Once the picture is there it is easy to cut and paste it into your post here.

I have this MSA knife. I really do not know what I have, but it looks old. I will post some pictures of the Knife and Sheath. Maybe original Sheath. Maybe someone can be so nice and tell me something.
Well I thought I could send them but The picture sender is asking me for a URL. On other sites, they allow me to pick the file on my computer to send. How come this site does not allow me to do it that way?

Like KJ said. BladeForums does not host pictures. So a picture hosting site is required to post on this forum. TinyPic.com is one of the easiest picture hosting sites to join and use to post your pictures here.

Here's a nice old congress jack made by Valley Forge Cutlery Co. I feel fortunate to own this one as ya don't see too many old congress jacks in good condition and definitely not too many made by VF.

Here is one John just photo'd for me. American Shear and Knife (1870-1914) whittler in Ivory. I just love the color and grain in this one.

Thanks all for the nice comments on my Shapleigh.

Chuck, that ivory blade is stunning!

Here is another one I just got, marked "HARRIS BROS. & CO. CHICAGO, ILL." As far as I can figure out, it was made between 1915-1926.

That's a beauty Phil, I had that eyeballed as well...I instantly thought "Boy's Knife"

Beautiful knives Charles and Phil! That jigging almost looks like an ol' Schrade. Amazing whittler Charles, the character in that ivory is mighty fine!

He's modest but I like to take this old gent out sometimes. Rem from the 1920s, pinned shield singe-spring Penknife, 3.25". I really wish GEC would turn their attention to a tip-bolstered knife or a Shadow, it's high time.

Great-looking old Jack Phil, the jigging is outstanding

Lovely old Sleeveboard Will, I'm also a big fan of tip bolsters on a penknife

Love this thread, more very nice vintage knives have been posted,Phil, the Harris is outstanding! Here is a new arrival, a Crucible Knife Co Scout, from what little I can find it looks like Crucible was only in business for about 5 years starting in 1927.
