"Old Knives"

Here's a few recent arrivals - Wostenholm, Rodgers, Ibberson respectively - The IXL Serpentine Jack was a gift from ADEE :)

Very nice, Jack! I have a Schrade Craftsman knife on the way. I bought it from KJ on the BF Exchange. A few more goodies on the way also.

My mouth is watering, guys, keep bringing on those old knife photos! I have one or two items that might qualify en route, and maybe one more that I'm currently waiting to see if I can make mine. I will post photos as they are received.

Been out of the loop for a couple weeks, some nice knives have been posted, thanks all.

Here are a couple oldies that I picked up recently, a Catt equal end jack and a Camillus rope knife, the Camillus is a little different than a couple others that I have in that it is not stamped Coast Guard approved on the back tang,it is blank.

A gift from a friend of mine for watchin' his house and pets while he went on vacation to California for a month, he said, "I paid ten bucks for it, think I paid too much?"

A beautiful celluloid piece from the 50s, I have some great friends.

That equal-end is fantastic, I am rediscovering my curiosity for the Cattaraugus history after picking up an old Barlow. Yours is one of the nicest I've seen!

I can't find beat-up, oxidized versions of that Ka-bar for $10, and yours is the kind I'd want as a representative of that pattern. Even the hook sharpener seems minty, you seem to have better friends than I do. :grumpy: :D

Sawcut bone with a hundred years of pocket wear, gotta love it. Sweet knife jprime84 thanks for sharin'.

Interesting old bottle opener Jack.

There used to be a Crown Cork Co. factory in Leeds, Alabama, which is just a few miles from Birmingham.

Birmingham? Leeds? Get it?

We weren't very original when it came to naming our communities.

Thanks Charlie, PM me and address if you'd like it

I've sometimes thought I could maybe earn my fortune writing pieces about the different namesake towns for the local papers of their US counterparts! ;) :D
