"Old Knives"

Trappernate- neat Ols Case- Im surprised theres not too much commenting on that knife?

Augies - LOVE that ol Catt Circular Stamping!

Ted - a grouping of some neat Pearl beauties there - nice shot!

I'm sure others do as well - I haven't varieties the date of the stamp - but that's easy- all I know is I have seen little of the very early Case knives ( pre 1920's ).

Value isn't something we would discuss here - Bernard Levine has a service that is very well worth his money for valuations - if you go to Bernard Levines Thread - click on his name to view his lists of services he offers.

Well done Jake! Boy I tell ya - if my Visa wasnt so damaged I would have snapped that peach seed up my friend - nice knife!, and KJ is just a very very generous guy!
Nice going there KJ!

Thank you, Duncan. I'm very happy to add them to my collection. I'm a stockman guy and one of the first knives that I bought with my own money was a Schrade 8OT. And this is my first tuxedo pattern.

I thought I sized them down, :o I'll fix 'em, nuthin' drives me crazier than super big long loading pics. Turns out they were 3800X2600 so I resized them they should load much faster now. Sorry :o

Nice looking knives lately, been busy and hadn't got to check em out.....I really do
appreciate everyone posting these......I have one on the way I hope will make the cut to this thread....
I keep seeing all these knives that KJ must have owned,WOW some beauts.......Im partial to Easy Openers
and Tear Drop Jacks, single blade Trappers,etc......Just sayin KJ.......:D
Please keep em coming,I can at least look at everyone elses......JD

Jack, I think I'm going to need your help on this one, can't find much about it. I'm assuming it's a pre 1890 English pruner, supposedly came out of a vintage English tool chest. The maker is marked HAGUE, maybe T HAGUE and the number 3 on the back.

Really well made and still tight with alligator snap, stag pretty well matched.

Appreciate any input anyone may have.

That's a beauty Augie. It could be Thomas B Hague. According to Tweedale, Thomas B Hague was a spring knife manufacturer first in Holly Street and then Cambridge street (Sheffield) approximately 1873 to 1892. There is no mention of the name/company continuing on after that but, based on the link in the previous post, it seems that knives were still appearing for at least a few years later.
