Jake and Charlie, I also have a 622359, but the tang stamps are different, as is the bone, slightly. I believe yours is the older of the two, Jake.

Don't know much about this one and as I am not the best on dating Wostenholm's, I hope it qualifies for this thread.

Nice knives being shown.

I especially favor that double ended wharncliffe framed flat bladed Utica jack with the modified spey, which has a small spud attached. I grin, even at this hour.

Tres hombres,oh that's Spanish. Gesundheit,no...... Oh sayōnara.

Jake, Jeff...Nice Bone on both of your Lovely Robeson's - a real delight to see!

Robin matey - i love it when you show those awesome old Farmer Jacks/ Roosters - just cannot beat Old Bone.

Jamie- handsome I*XL - Now thats a smart knife my friend! in lovely condition - I love the deeply struck I*XL on the Blade!

Nice IXL Sleeveboard Jamie, I think I have one the same with carbon-steel blades. They still make that pattern.

Hi there JD, it turns out that your shears are poultry dressing shears. I was hoping they were pruners of some type.

Nice pair of shears though.

Best regards

Robin

They are Poultry Scissors my friend. A very nig thing in the Solongen Cutler era around the 60's and 70's.

Jack,

Carbon blades here as well, any guess as to age?

Excellent  Really hard to make a guess without examining it Jake, they have made that pattern a long time, so even a catologue pic doesn't really date the knife. Eggington, who own the IXL name today, have been using stainless for around 20 years, and have more recently used the Rodgers tang-stamp (you can get it with either). My rough guess would be 1950's to 1970's. There doesn't appear to be any shrinkage of the covers, so I would have thought later, rather than earlier. Wostenholm began using stainless as early as the 1920's, but they used more carbon-steel right until the end. Nice knife
