Thanks for the kind remarks Paul , Mike , & pgockley .
I would also really like to know the history of this and all of the other old knives that I have . Specially the ones that have the jigged bone worn almost smooth.
Paul : Very nice old Hawkbill my friend . Do you also have a fascination with them like I do ??? I know that they are pretty versatile but also more limited too , but I am still drawn to them . Maybe because my Dad used one as a Lineman for as long as I could remember . I still have his to this day .

Harry, the Pruner ABSOLUTELY commands my attention. I don't pocket carry to often but when it comes to a work knife they are just stellar. Of late my fascination has been towards utility or blade purpose knives. We all know you can achieve most cutting goals with most any knives but the purpose driven knife simply excels at it specific task.

It can deviate somewhat for the most part. I find the #38 is such an excellent knife for carpentry as well as electrical chores also. It's my handyman knife. I received a red bone CASE XX Pruner a week ago and it's an amazing knife. I posted elsewhere but I'll have to bring it over to this thread.

One of my old ones, lovely old Crucible Tear Drop, couldn't resist the bone on this one [emoji106]

Sorry that I did not read carefully . I just assumed which is never a good thing plus I had never heard of the manufacturer Crucible .
Still it is a great find Sir.

Harry

Man, that Crucible has a lot going for it!

As for me, I've been busy chasing grails, LOL. Not sure if I found any, but I was at a knife show Sunday and picked up some decent stuff.

A well used Hibbard 4 blade. Has one broken blade, but still a nice pickup.

A Winchester jack, the stamp is mostly worn, but still a decent knife

A Von Cleff 4 blade pearl

A great old Remington whittler. It's had some patching on the bone at the pin, but still very cool IMO!

A nice old sawcut bone Camillus barlow

Stag Rodgers whittler!

Case barlow

Henckels in stag

Camillus 4 line Jack in ebony

Holy knife gods, Batman! Crazy stag on the Rodgers...more..more..lol. And that Remington whittler...holy grail indeed

You did good Glen. Did you talk to any of the fellas from the other forum, seems several were there . I'd like to make that show someday and meet everyone.

Wow glenn, I really like the Rodgers - now is that Pressed stag- looks it, the Winchester Jack - That beautiful 4 liner Camillus- wonderful knife mate- thats a beauty, and the Henckells Stag would be in my pocket as well if I were at that show! Nice day.
