"Old Knives"

Jack, nice unusual fly fishers knife, did you check to see if the ruler is accurate, I know how fisherman love to stretch the truth:D

Mark, wonderful pair of jacks, something about a good condition old jack.

Had a good weekend in Titusville, wonderful friends and knives everywhere, picked up a few old ones. First a Schatt & Morgan WW1 Canadian Navy knife in very good condition, big knife.

Then a couple old English knives, an Alfred Blackwell jack and a small Saynor pruner, metal capped end, both with very nice stag.

Very impressive haul, Augie. Great looking stag and bolsters on the Saynor and Blackwell. I really like the Schatt & Morgan.

Thank you Augie :) LOL! Yes, I have a couple of those 70's-era Fisherman's knives with the 'Honest Inches' and 'Dishonest Inches' - I've found the joke even funnier since I realised the 'Dishonest Inches' were actually centimetres! :D

Three great finds there, the old stag on the Sheffield knives is just lovely

Thanks everyone, they were some lucky finds. Mike, I really like the Schatt also, it is a large knife, slightly larger than the GEC Texas Camp knife.

Smoko Break....
Augie my friend- every knife you displayed today - really impressed me my friend. I have such a soft spot for those early Englush Jacks. - the S &M like Mike said is just an amazing score.

Thank you Duncan, anytime I can find an early English stag knife I try to add it to the collection, the stag takes on a beautiful patina with age. Hope you get to come to the Rendezvous next year, it really is a fun weekend.

Winterbottom is amazing stuff and if I recall correctly there was a great historical article about it in the OKC newsletter last year. Thanks for the pics!

Augie, all stunners!!! just saw you on the video, nice to put the face to the man:thumbup:

I look forward to meeting you and the other fine folk her on the forum and those that attend. Duncan and I have committed to next year:thumbup:

I think this may be the oldest knife in my house.

Man, that Empire! What a great old knife!

I hope this belongs here.
Since my dad died a couple of years ago we've gradually been sorting through all his stuff with specific instructions from me to my mum and brother, "look out for any knives!".
So today my brother hands me a little white box, inside of which was this:

I think Jack B. posted similar kit knives a few months ago, and this is the second one of my dad's I've found. Anyway I'm really excited about finding this so just had to share.
