"Old Knives"

That is an awesome old Case, Paul. Gorgeous bone and what a cool size - almost more like a single blade farmer's jack than a big pruner.

Wow Paul, you are really going for those old Pruners my friend, stunning!

Paul, that is a stunner, also love the size on that one, that is a fine pick up.

The green bone is soooo nice, Paul, and the size makes it a pocket winner. I think you'll get some use out of that one!

That Rase knife is quite beautiful, and handy, Jack!!
Most Rase knives that I have seen are bulky and clumsy, and do not have a main knife blade. They probably do their job well, but they are not conducive to regular carry - unlike that great Stag knife you have found!

These are utilitarian knives - nothin' fancy!

Utilitarian, yes!!! But I think they are fancy, look at those lines:cool: I think they're great knives Charlie:thumbup:

Gotta love that ol' green bone, nice Case Paul!

Thank you Nick, it's my first green bone and I love it:)

Great green bone Paul, the smaller frame make it more pocketable. Congrats.
How about pruners group shot, might be very interesting.

Mike

Thanks also Mike, I'll work on a group shot soon:thumbup:

Wow Paul, you are on a roll... that 3 5/8 Case Pruner proves it! Outstanding and exceptional!

Thank you redsparrow, it really is pocketable:thumbup:

Thanks John, I thought the same thing Farmer Jack wise. Lyle did cross my mind as he does like the curves:D

Thanks Jack, I need to reel it in a bit but it's easier said than done:o

Paul, that is a stunner, also love the size on that one, that is a fine pick up.

Thanks John, I was fortunate to pick it up:thumbup:

Yessiree, that Tested is a beauty and a really fine knife to carry:thumbup:

Thanks Jamie, the bone is so pocket worn and I love the color. Mellow like your great USA stockman:thumbup:

Super fine piece, Paul! You are just knocking it out of the park!! More..more:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you Gev, I think the pictures would have been better on the stump but the paver stone had to do:)

The green bone is soooo nice, Paul, and the size makes it a pocket winner. I think you'll get some use out of that one!

Thanks also Jeff, I liked the pictures I saw when I bought it but when it arrived its even better in the sunlight:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Wow Paul, the bone on those pruners!!!

I was feeling a little under the weather Sunday morning, but I did manage to get out to knife show in the area. I did pick up a few decent pieces. Apparently, it was an IXL day!

Such a great barlow. Snappy, snappy, snappy! I never collected barlows before, but thanks to all you enablers...

A little guy, etch is still intact.

This little Swan Works has a bit of a swayback to the spine. These knives are not horribly flashy, but I have always known them to be super snappy. I swear, if the blade closed on my finger, I think it would sink right to the bone.

This Ulster is great. However, the steel got into something, cause the blades are a little ate up.

Great little equal-end IXL

Very nice Catt John nice full blades with great covers:thumbup:

This one arrived today, another Pruner...odd I know:) this one is a little different in my eyes as it measures 3 5/8 versus 4". I love this smaller frame, I never knew it was even available or ever made until I came across this one.

It has BEAUTIFUL green bone covers with no flaws that I can find. I put the point back on the blade as this one is going to be carried. The blade is battled scared but that appeals to me in regards to the history that this Pruner has seen in its lifetime.

1920-1940 tang stamp, blade is almost centered and has a tiny bit of play. So small that the tiny play is a non issue to me.

What a wonderful day you had! Each one is a great find in itself. Get well soon or...maybe not...lol:D

Paul that Case- well both are stunning, but I havent seen the latest one until now- Oh Man that Bone is juuuuuuust Beautiful!!! Thats a real real nice knife my friend.

Glenn, you had a fine day, everyone of those are a great addition to any collection but those 2 Wostenholms are just wonderful, both look to be close to new condition. Does the Barlow have "Oil The Joints" stamped on it.

Worthy of forwarding in totality, that must be a rare pattern, Paul! Great score in nice condition!

It was a good show for you, Glenn!!
That's a knife collection right there!!

Boy, after some of the knives posted the last couple weeks I'm almost embarrassed to post some new ones that I've picked up in the last week or so, most are quite worn but still are usable knives.

I don't buy many fixed blades but this Kinfolks appealed to me, nice bone handles with hammered pins, maybe pre WW2,

Then a couple small jacks, Boker with nice bone and a LF&C with tortoise shell celluloid,

A Case Tested Barlow, well worn with pretty worn translucent bone, decent amount of blade left,

IMG_6306_zps46ltrvfe.jpg

Kutmaster wooden handle electricians knife, actually got 3 for 15 bucks, new but had storage rust, seller had found a box of them,

IMG_6311_zpsehbpkhug.jpg

Case XX birdseye stockman, used but not abused, has the center pin cracks that seem to be common to the old ones,

IMG_6315_zpshswvla1v.jpg

A Remingtom Stockman, little unusual with a spey main, secondary has been reprofiled to a spear, pretty bone,

IMG_6319_zpsd93et0ct.jpg

And finally a Schrade Cut Co jack, good tight knife with well worn blades, I might put this one in the EDC rotation,
