I'd hate to "1-UP" Mike's Inspector Kit... but this George Schrade Boy Scout Mess Kit is pretty historic too, LoLNice collection of Ulster barlows Kevin, and great pics.
I have not had anything new to post in a while. This World War I Signal Corps Inspector's Pocket Kit is a bit off the beaten path for me. All of the tools are stamped "S.C.USA." I got this kit from Mike Silvey and I think he said this Ulster knife was in an early edition of the kit. The tool on the knife closes by pushing down on the blade. The blade has seen some hard use, but I guess that's to be expected.

Our daughter helped me hold it open for this shot. Those are not my purple toenails.

Mike- Very cool set! Is that the original toothpick? I have a Henckels MOP lobster knife that has the same looking toothpick and I always figured it was just something someone threw in there to fill the spot LoL. - KevinThanks Gev and mitch4ging. I think Henckels called it a picnic set.
Beautiful!Also... in case you didn't see it in the "Buck Poll"... I posted pics of the A Kastor & Bros oldie I picked up over the weekend to show someone that lockbacks are in fact traditional

Here's my wild guess:Guys... just curious what your thoughts are on this one, I have two Schrade-Walden model Buck 301's and I noticed when I was posing them for some snapshots the other night (LoL) that one them has black looking springs on the bottom. Any ideas why this might be? The picture into the well shows that they are normal/shiny on the inside...
