"Old Knives"

Nice Schrade Walden Kevin, great Knives!!

Charlie!!! WOW!! Those English Jacks have it all - each and everyone.
That Winchester Charlie- do you think that may have been a early Schrade Contract Knife?

Thank you all for the comments on the Rem Scout!

Beautiful Remington's Campbellclanman and waynorth. And great original bluing on that Scout punch blade, Campbellclanman.
Nice Schrade V.P. and neat to have that punch blade within.
Waynorth, now you have my motor revving with those fantastic English Jack models!!!!!

The Winchester and the Buffalo are both early Schrade Cut contracts, and were also used as pattern knives for Ken's knife. The Winchester looks identical to the Schrade Cut (next to the sawcut, a couple of frames back), but is about 1/4" longer!!
Glad you like them, Duncan!

Charlie Sir - I more than like them- I don’t know if I should tell Sue that I am in love with another  Those Knives of course!
I figured the Buffalo was- as you have mentioned in the past about Buffalo - not a Stamping that you see a lot and I was SO blown away that Paul Hilborn gifted me a Stunning Buffalo Scout which is one of my top tier Scouts with pride.
Charlie- that NY Knife is something else as well ! Spectacular knife and I am surprised to see you still own that S & M that Dave hasn’t managed to yank from your grasp :D

Thank you Herder for your ( always) kind comments on my knives - this time that Remington- that Remington was one of the Knives I got right along with a couple of mistake ( kid in a Lolly shop ) buying at the last ever Queen Vintage Knife show.

Your two additions to the English Jacks has me on shaky ground now lol.
That early Henckels my friend- Wow! And let’s not overlook the Wingen - anything I have ever owned from Wingen is always fantastic- I have owned many of their Fixed Blades- in fact I would hate to count them- sold now as I sold them as I transitioned to Traditional Folders - but with pride I still own a set of three Stag handled “ Bowie’s” from them - including an extremely hard to get 10 inch Bowie ( the only one I have seen if it’s kind, a 13 inch Bowie and 15 inch Bowie.

That's a killer S&M heavy whittler, holo07 holo07 !!!!!!

Wonderful English/German:) Jacks herder!! Just great!!

Beautiful and outstanding vintage English Jacks Charlie and Herder!!

Looking at your English Jacks inspired me to post a couple of mine. I may have posted these before in this thread can’t remember. Charlie has personally seen and handled the Schrade Cut.

The first (left and bottom) is a curved tang stamp Schrade Cut and the second is a Valley Forge pre Boker CF in a circle. Goins says Boker bought Valley Forge in 1902 but the VF in a circle stamp was not adopted until 1916. The VF in a circle would have been on the back or pile side of the primary blade tang—this does not have one. The Schrade is also early probably right around WWI or somewhat before.

Such a beautiful pair of knives, Lloyd!!
That SCC is even better in person!!

Found this in the 1936 Schrade Catalog supplement... 8613LB (leather borer) so I'm guessing mine is the standard 8613 or a variation thereof; note it says Nickel Silver linings (not steel) ;)

The old knives thread is red hot right now!

Smokin’ Hot Mike- I totally agree!

I have to re-soundly agree with these fine gentleman. As I have posted before I enjoy laying back, allowing pages to accumulate until I have a day off and the opportune time to just sit and immerse myself in all of the beautiful knives and the new information provided by all of the great contributors here. Well this morning, I enjoyed about 40 minutes of just complete bliss as I allowed myself to just slowly study each and every knife and try to saturate the valuable information provided. Thanks to all for sharing all the wonderful knives. Now I have to refocus and go get my 5 Yr. old granddaughter!!!:D:D

holo07, nice old knives, and that Schatt & Morgan is a real beauty.
Luger, great looking English Jacks, one of my favorite patterns.
V.P., neat old Christians, I love old German knives. And a fine looking Schrade serpentine as well.
I agree with others who have posted some nice comments on the many wonderful knives shown, what a treat!!!
