"Old Knives"

Thanks Kevin, good job on the photoshop pic:thumbsup: That is quite the haul on the scouts

Thanks Kevin.
Rob, I was wondering if it had "ENGLAND" marked on it anywhere??

Charlie it does not have England on it any where. Kevin's pic probably shows the stamp a little clearer but here is a recycled shot from the Lambsfoot thread showing it at half stop.

Nice old Remington, V.P. We all like caramel. :)

Here is a long sleek old fishtail folder from W. H. Morley & Sons. Morley was one of the many Kastor brands and existed from the early 1900s to around 1930.
While the handle is nearly 4 inches long, the knife is quite slender and a bit wicked looking. It features nice pic-bone handles and nickel silver bolsters with a long nail pull that compliments the blade.
Morley was a American brand, but most if not all of their knives were made abroad. This one says "Germany" below the "W. H. Morley & Sons" blade stamp.

Slender Stunner there my friend.
If everyone enlarges Herders Photo you will see the spectacular Jig Work of that Bone. The Bone Jig Work looks so natural- quite incredible!

A truly elegant knife, Herder ! The bone looks like frosting on a cake. The lines on the knife are so pleasing to my eye

Is it bone?? That's as close to Stag as jigged bone can be!!!
Wonderful knife, Mr. Herder!!
Thanks for showing it to us.

Thanks, Campbellclaman, Gevonovich, and waynorth.
waynorth, I also thought the handles were stag when I first saw the knife, but they are indeed pic-bone, and beautifully done.
