"Old Knives"

Hey guys - many thanks for the Birthday - that’s very kind of you.

rockman0 rockman0 I have only ever seen a Camillus Congress once ever use that Shield where as I own a few Challenge Knives that have that exact Shield - and those Knives have evidence that Empire was involved in the manufacturing of them.

There’s always a very good chance on me being wrong :)

Thanks Duncan. Happy Birthday !

No need to thank me for the compliment on your Camillus - it's first rate in anyonbe's eyes.

Not being a regular poster in this thread (hardly ever) I would think 1970 or earlier would qualify as "Old Knife" fodder. 1970 seems to be the year that Case collectors have drawn a line and I've seen some dealers describe 1970 as a dividing line for their knives too regardless of brand.

Thanks for the reply Charlie.
Ed- I like to use the final year of Schrade Walden as the cut off line for me... ~1973... since I was born in 1974, maybe we can just go with 'older than Kevin' LoL :D

HAHA Many thanks Dave and Meako
Meako- glad to see your wonderful pets coming up in your Avatar again my friend

Dave Sir- Those Flush joints- at very first I thought that they may be the Remington R1123's but then they dont have Rat-Tailed Bolsters- also those look to be wood- so please my friend- just what are those two Knives?

Happy belated birthday Duncan :D:thumbsup:

Of course who can resist a Seinfeld clip... birthdays always remind me of this one. In this scene, George was complaining that Jerry was being too funny in front of his date... so when she returns to the table, he is trying to not be funny... which turns out really funny ;)

And how about some more bone barlows ;)

Those are 2 Great Camillus Jacks right there Duncan!:cool:

The 2 knives with the square and flush joints are Sheffield made and old enough, I thought, to be re-posted again here. I'm reasonably certain they are posted several hundred pages back. ;) But for a Birthday boy....er MAN... I will post them again. :D
