I hope everyone is doing well under these trying times, stay inside, and just keep away from people - we step outside tomorrow for the first time in 4 weeks - and allowed to back into level 3 after being in complete lock-down for a month!
My Postmaster in North Dakota has goodies for me but we thought we had better hold off sending for a wee while, so in the meantime I thought I would share this, but I haven't seen many???
Ok - sure- we have seen a few of the 10th Division Ulsters out there- not that they are a Dime a Dozen for sure when they come up rightly so they are snatched up- Quickly! but I spied this one here....
When I first saw this, the sellers photos were not that good, I could see the Bolsters and through the haze I thought..."mmm this has been messed around with" spying what looked like severe Bolster damage - but I couldn't tell properly, so I looked further into it...
The Bolsters are... like my Other 10th Division Knife - they are there, and peened down- there that'll do the job - these actually haven't been touched other than factory....
Now this is Rogers Stag Bone - the name gets flung around a lot, but its a really nice standard variation of the Bone - and what a shame that we get so "used" to looking at the Scouts / Utility Knives etc that have this quite Beautiful Bone..
When I was glancing through I thought - yes...a standard Ulster Knife of ths sorts- Blades are quite good- ok...I will keep looking...
Thats when I saw
this- now help me out here Folks- I havent seen this before, nor have I ever owned a HJ or Knife with a Punch that has a Lock, I remember Charlie showing us an absolutely Superb HJ with a Bolster Lock for the Punch- which never have I forgotten.........
When I saw this, I have to grab this Knife to further look into it, yep...sure enough, a Punch with a Liner Lock!
Like I said I have the Ulster Division type Of Knife like this- without this feature, and many many other WW2 type of Utility and Scout Knives - without this, I know that Camillus make a Rope Knife with a Locking Marlin but have not seen these little guys with this feature.... have you ?
Would like very much to view yours if you have!
