This exact knife was one of my first quality knives and to this day the best I ever owned. Spyderco Lil Temp Rhino Horn. The compression lock is flawless and smooth. The rare green handles are extremely unique and a nice 440V blade (similar to s60v but not as hard). It also comes in S30V in the next few generations.
It is certainly a little big knife.
For a knife its size it does have alot of cutting power and a nice thick blade that will still slice well. Approx 4mm thick.
The blade has about 1/4 inch more cutting edge than the Manix II. Collectors club #18
The lock up arrived at about the thickness of the liner maybe 25%.
You cannot see it in the picture but there is a tiny little 1.5 mm ricasso or choil if you call it that, at the base of the blade for sharpening. This also will not snag like the chiol on some other spyderco's
I am so excited to have this. It has been ten years since I lost mine at 18.
Have a look. Please post your discontinued spyderco knives!
