Old school Lil Temperance Rhino/Leaf.

The plan is for a Compression lock with nested liners, though different than the earlier model. The G-10 version is a pilot for the FRN version.

Hi Shepard,What is your objection to the nested liners?

I prefer nested liners, but Shepard makes a lot of scales for knives and nested liners would then be a pita ;)

NoFair Nailed it. :)

So are there going to be 2 versions then Sal? FRN and a G10?

Get a CNC machine and start making scales when it comes out :D PM2, Millie and scales for the FRN Spydies should keep you occupied ;)

First version is G-10. Once we're satisfied with the model, we'll tool up for an FRN version. Whether or not the G-10 version stays in the line will depend on sales.

Will it be a rhino blade Sal?
Even if not, this original is an amazing piece. Even the 440V is amazing. It is some hard stuff.

I'm all for.another run of the rhino blade!! I'm hoping for another unique steel like the first. 3v would be awesome :)
Any idea on time frame for a release?

Cnc machines are like 6 grand. Lol.

You can get a small one that should be all you need for knife scales for two grand though! If wasn't spending so much on knives I'd be saving up for one of these!

And that's a good lookin Lil Temp Matt, hope you're liking it! I agree with you on 440V, it's a great steel! I just prefer it in the full SE platforms better :p

And in keeping with the awesome disco'd knives I have a few knives to post as well!

Ayoob!

Invective. Thank you. Time to start saving. :)

I just acid and stone washed my rhino horn. Tomorrow I'll sharpen it and get everything ready for the new pivot and then I'll post some pics. I got some very cool new material so I'll make some new scales out of that I think.

Invective, that is a whole lot of 440V. I really like the chinook. I used to have a ChinIII that I loved as well.
3V would be interesting, that is one steel I have not tried.

Of all the knives I have sold, I have but one regret... my Lil Temp Rhino.
This is a Great thread.

Those are discontinued as far as i know?

This thread is about the Lil Temperance Rhino horn...not discontinued knives.
Lol. All you say is that you're waiting on a lum tanto to arrive.

Back to topic. I found some other info on the LT2.
It's being made in seki city Japan. Which usually means VG-10 steel and it means the long rivet/pivots with screws on one side. Like the Breeden, Captain, Battlestation, Karahawk, Superleaf, Superhawk, Junior, etc. I REALLLLY hope this LT2 goes against the norm of seki city knives and doesn't have VG-10. I hope it has pillar/standoff construction.
Also if the Frn version comes I wonder if it will stay as a compression lock. If it does I'm sure we'll see a PM2 FRN soon

And no I have nothing against vg10 steel...but with most of my collection being vg10...I'd say about 60 -10 of all my spydercos...at this point I'd really just prefer something more unique. Especially if it's in that beautiful rhino horn blade. You don't see that shape very often if ever...and I think it commands a super steel. Jmho.
