Olsen OK knives

No other company to my knowledge. However some people over the years have bought Olsen knife blanks and made a knife out of them. They even went as far as to leave the Olsen OK stamp on the blade and try to pass it off as an original Olsen . And others ground off the stamping and described them as being made with genuine Olsen parts. But if you know what your looking for you can usually pic them out. I have seen a lot but sometimes still have to look really hard. Because Olsen did a lot of different things themselves.

Here’s a question, did any other company make any copies or variations of Olsons 500 series knives?
No other company to my knowledge did, but Olsen did make knives for other companies. They made knives for Colt which I have already posted pics of. They also made knives for Herters which I will take pics of at a later date. Also Fur * Long Archery from Warren mi. Fur * Long was only in business for about a year. Rumor has it that Olsen made knives for 'LL Bean too ,but I have never seen or have any proof that they did or exist. Here are some pics of my Olsen / Fur * Long's.

I believe I found it. Was it missing a rivet? Still trying to figure out how to use the forum .I do have a unused one with its standard thin cardboard blade sleeve. Olsen made a lot of kitchen cutlery. Thank you for the link

I used to patronize the factory showroom in Howard City back in the 60’s. They had a lot of Solingen straight knives that were marked Olsen. They also imported Victorinox SAK’s and Swedish Barrel knives which were not marked Olsen. That place was a candy store.
My childhood friend’s dad was a friend of Lee Olsen Sr. Lee gave him a custom double edge combat knife which he wore as a tank commander in Patton’s 3rd. Army during the Normandy invasion.

Yes Olsen was also a huge distributor for Victorinox / Swiss army knives. You have some great memories from your childhood then. The Olsen family was very generous from everything I have researched. Glad you shared . / Brian /

That chef missing a rivet is mine. I guess I put it in B&B because I bought the bicentennial buckle at the same 4th of July flea market.
Reminds me I've got a carbon chef marked Olsen which I should post here. It shouldn't be too deep in my stash.
