Quite a few possibilities, but I got lucky.

After SHEET, you have to decide if you want to roll the dice on one of the options at 4, or guarantee a win on 5 with WALKS at 4,03/09/2022: Wordle 263 4/6
Only 1 possibility that came to mind after the 3rd try.

Again, one of those words w/multiple possible spellings based on only 1 letter change.
Four possibilities for me in this case: SHEET, SWEET, SKEET & SLEET.
Luckily, chose the "right" one on 2nd try.![]()
Nice, I was on a similar track but got derailed with what I thought was a good guess.Wordle 264 3/6

Yep. One of those 'work my way down the alphabet' days.I hate when there is a long list of possibilities, I could have failed today.

I tried LEASE first since I didn't have the position of the A.03/11/2022: Wordle 265 3/6
Another one of THOSE words!
Decided the 2 letters revealed in Tries 1-2 belonged in Spaces 2-3. Then decided that there probably were not any other vowels in the word, which meant Spaces 4-5 had to be consonants which (to me) limited the possibilities to a single 4 letter pattern with only the letter in Space 1 missing.
Made an initial guess and was going to enter it in when I said to myself: "Wait a minute!"
Then I came up w/7 other possible words using different letters in Space 1. That meant there were a total of 8 possible answers!!! WTF!!!????
So, I reconsidered and just went w/the 1st letter I'd use in a "brute force" method to solve the puzzle Figured I'd either get it w/in 6 Tries or fail because there were so many possibilities. Just pure luck that I got it w/the 1st guess!

Unlike today's word, LAPSE seemed to me to be the only possible answer to yesterday's puzzle based on the letters revealed in Tries 1-3.![]()
Again, identical here. I think I'm gonna stop playing, and just claim your result.Yep. One of those 'work my way down the alphabet' days.
