My lucky day1 :)

3 instead of just 1-2 letters revealed by my starter words made it possible.

Wordle Bot also solved it in 3 but I seriously doubt that anyone would or could have solved it in the same way. The NYT ave was 3.6.
The Bot rated my overall approach vs the NYT ave as 65/66 Luck and 73/80 Skill.

The Bot rated my specific solution on the 3rd try as 95 Luck/85 Skill based, based on 12 possible answers that it identified. However, there were only 3 possible solutions from my POV and I (again) chose the one that seemed the most obscure to me. Luckily I did.

Birdie 3 -- that's 2 in row, which is a rare event for me. :)

I'm surprised that others had a problem w/this puzzle but Wordle Bot took 5 tries to solve it and the NYT Ave was 5.4. So it was tougher than I thought.

Looks like the main difference between my solution and the others posted above (and those posted on Twitter) was that my 2nd starter word revealed the 3rd letter which was key to the solution.

Wordle Bot rated my approach (vs the NYT averages) as 88/63 Skill and 72/44 Luck but it rated my specific approach after 2 tries as 76 Skill and 99 Luck. Perhaps it was just luck but I always use the same 2 starter words, so luck had to fall my way sooner or later.

Wordle Bot also notes that there was only 1 choice available (the correct 1) after the 2nd try.

Went with AIR at the end which limited the options for me to just CHAIR, STAIR or FLAIR and I decided to go w/the most obscure word of the 3, which worked in this case, as it has worked w/other puzzles for me recently.

A standard Par 4 for me. NYT average was 4 and Wordle Bot scored 3.
My overall approach was scored 93/78 Skill and 38/58 Luck vs the NYT Averages.
Per Wordle Bot, choice of the 3rd word left only 1 possible solution for the 4th try.

I wound up with a choice between an obscure word from a hobby, or a common word from my profession. Glad I tried the common word.

Pretty easy Birdie 3 for me, given my starter words. Also helped that I use an X as a spacer letter to try different letter combinations. ;)

Per Wordle Bot, there was only 1 solution possible on the 3rd try. The NYT average for the solution was 4.4 and the Bot solved in 3 (but based on 1st 2 words used, I really don't know how it could have done that).

Another example of how selection of the 3rd word has been critical to maintaining my current 2 week streak of just Birides & Pars. I put more effort into making this selection when required than anything else in the game.
