An Eagle 2!

It was my 2nd starter word. Debated whether to post this result today because there's no secret what my 2nd starter word is (see below) but I don't think many people see the results that I post here, so I doubt it will spoil the result for many (if any) people.

A recently typical Par 4 for me that relies on the choice of the 3rd word.

I was tempted to post "hey, do you ever swap the order of your seeds, do you think it makes a difference?".

No I've never altered the order of my starter words or used different ones because the order usually doesn't matter because I normally need to use them both to solve a puzzle and because I think that using the same words (assuming they are "good" words, which mine have been) is better than varying them which I think injects too much whimsy/uncertainty (at least for me) into how to go about "solving" the puzzle.

I've tried some other combos but I prefer my 2 starter words because they reveal all of the vowels plus 4 common consonants (1 of which is a wobbler and can be used as a vowel or consonant) which substantially reduces the other letter choices for the following guesses.

Of course, if I always used the 2nd word 1st, I really would have gotten a "Hole-In-One" which would be thrilling but in the "long run" really doesn't matter.

I thought our first (and second) seed words were the same, but obviously not.

Took me a sec to figure out what your second and third guesses were, but I think I have it. For me, the first letter to the answer showed up in my second seed word / "guess" so it ruled out those other options.

I'll never get it in one until / unless my first seed word is the answer, because I never change that. Maybe I'll get it on my second guess if my first seed word gives me enough letters and I go "rogue" on my second guess.

Choice between 4 words. Just picked the 1st one that pop'd into my mind.
The NYT average is 3.
