09/02/2022: Wordle 440 4/6
Only 2 letters to go on w/the 2 starter words
3 possibilities per WordleBot but I only thought
of 2 of them. So, a Birdie was possible but I don't
have any problem w/the Par.
The current NYT average for this puzzle is 3.6.
09/01/2022: Wordle 439 4/6 FUNGI
There were 10 possibilities per WordleBot
after the 2nd guess but PUNJI was the only word
I could make fit and it limited the possibliities to 1.
Wasn't sure what a PUNJI was until I looked up the
definition. It's one of those pointy bamboo sticks that
are/were used to maime/kill animals or people, like Arnold
used in the 1st Predator movie to try to kill the Alien.
PUNJI wasn't even on WordleBot's possible word list but
it was the word that I needed to solve this puzzle.
The final NYT average for this puzzle was 4.3.

I had the same, took me an extra guess, but I got on punji at guess five and that made fungi the only possible, but if I'd taken a second before pressing on pungi to check other possible first letters I would have gone with fungi as more likely. Tough one!09/02/2022: Wordle 440 4/6

just 2 more. Call it just lucky or insightful as you prefer.
The current NYT average for this puzzle is 4.8. So, a
pretty difficult puzzle for many.
