WordleBot said there were 35 possibilities after
the 2nd guess. But I figured the U had to go in the 2nd
position and that there was a double letter -- either L or G.

I went w/the L and which limited the possibilities to
either FULLY, GULLY or BULLY. The 2nd letter on the
keyboard (left to right) was the G and the answer. :)

The final NYT average for this puzzle was 4.9. Higher
than yesterday. So, it was a pretty difficult puzzle for many.

I had issues with yesterday for sure. I only got it after calling it a BULLY for knocking me around in the first three guesses :)

Just one letter (a vowel) out of 10 letters? WFT???

So I went with a standard consonant heavy word 1st
for the 3rd guess w/no luck but which, per WordleBot,
limited the remaining possibilities to just 2. Only thought
of 1 of the 2 of those words which was the right one.

The current NYT average for this puzzle is 4.2.


09/04/2022: Wordle 442 3/6 INTER

7 possibilities per WordleBot after the 2nd guess
but went with "TER "in positions 3-5 and started
with "I" in the 1st position which led to the solution
and eliminated all of the other possibilities.

The final NYT average for this puzzle was 4.0.

This one was an example of my black letters telling me more than my green letter did, but once I had the green letter, my black letters gave me the vowel(s), and three critical black consonants ruled out every word except for two that I could think of, and one of those two is arguably not really a word (though other people in my Wordle Whatsapp chat were apparently allowed to guess it by Wordle), so I guessed the one I knew was a legitimate word and was correct.

Sometimes you get bogged down in alternate definitions, I was so hung up on 'inter' being a prefix for 'between' that I forgot it could mean 'to bury' and stand on its own.

I agree but you just "spoiled" the answer for anyone here who hasn't tried to solve it yet but I don't think that affects many folks around here.

But, if anyone reports a HOLE-IN-ONE, we'll know why. LOL! ;)
