Eliminated 1 of 2 possible letter patterns with
the 3rd guess which left 2 possibilities per
WordleBot. Picked the one I immediately
recognized; didn't think of the other.

The current NYT average for this puzzle is 4.0.

09/25/2022: Wordle 463 2/6

Started w/the letter pattern "AD___ I___" and the
only the letter T from the 2nd word that I normally
use seemed to fit the pattern which gave me
"AD___IT" which led to ADMIT. Considered ADMIN but
ruled it out as slang, even though WordleBot said it
was another possible answer.

Only my 2nd Eagle in 253 games. Had to work
for this one. The other one was STORY which is
(and always has been) my 2nd starter word. So,
that can't be repeated.

The final NYT average for this puzzle was 3.9.

Has anyone tried the "Spelling Bee" game at the bottom of the NYT wordle screen? It's fun.

Has anyone tried the "Spelling Bee" game at the bottom of the NYT wordle screen? It's fun.

Yes but I like "Letter Boxed" better. So, in addtion to Wordle, I play "Letter Boxed" just about everyday.

I like "Letter Boxed" better because it has multiple possible solutions and it doesn't penalize you for a wrong guess. You can just erase a bad guess (or guesses) and try again until you find a soultion or give up. The game is also not "scored," so there's no record of your failures. LOL!

"Spelling Bee" is ok.

You just try to spell as many +4 letter words as you can using the key letter in the cneter BUT there are always words that you can't "find" (based on the word/letter distribution list that the NYT's provides) which is really frustrating because you can never find all of the words and the NYT doesn't ever tell you what all the words are or were for any puzzle.

It' just gives you a "rating" to let you know what a "dummy" you are after you give up. Double LOL!

The green letters at start and end of the
word and the yellow vowel limited the choice
to just the answer for me.

2 possibilities per Wordle Bot but I didn't think of
the other word and would have ruled it out if I did
because it's a word that looks like slang.

The current NYT average for this puzzle is 4.1.

3rd guess was one of 2 words I thought might
be the answer. Using it estabilshed the letter pattern
that is suspected and left only the other word as
the likely answer.

Per WordleBot 11 possibilities after 2nd guess and
only 2 remaining -- BRISK & FRISK -- after the 3rd guess.
Could have gotten a Birdie if I chose BRISK 1st but I
thought CRISP was more "obscure" and also used more
common letters but I have no problem w/the PAR 4.

The final NYT average for this puzzle was 4.0.
