10/26/2022: Wordle 494 3/6
3 possibilities per WordleBot. Only 2 using the letter
pattern that I selected. Chose what I considered the
more obscure of the 2.
The current NYT average for this puzzle is 3.7.
10/25/2022: Wordle 493 4/6 FOGGY
Still surprised that this word didn't cause people the
same trouble as MUMMY did. There was even a possible
triple letter word -- POPPY -- but I thought the chances
of a repeat so soon was unlikely. So, decided to use a
word to try to reduce the as many choices as possible.
23 possibilities per WordleBot.
CLAMP eliminated the words using CLM&P and reduced
the choices to 6 using FBH&G but figured the letter pattern
was "__ O GGY" which reduced the choices to just 3 --
FOGGY, BOGGY and HOGGY. WordleBot didn't list HOGGY
but Wordle did not reject it as a possible answer. Chose
FOGGY because it seemed most likely, even though the
others were more "obscure."
The NYT average for this puzzle was 4.5.
3 possibilities per WordleBot. Only 2 using the letter
