thanks Richard. It's hard to love this knife right now with an unsculpted handle, hopefully that changes. I have a ball end carbide burr that gets chucked into the drill press for fullers and divots and things. The on the fly rpm adjuster really makes it viable, but I'm beginning to realize that I'm going to need a mini mill of some kind

Question: That hole that is placed in the depression which presumably might be used to open the knife, do you intend to put a thumb stud there or is that just part of the aesthetic?

I have a plan for that little hole that hasn't yet gone into action. It's experimental, I don't know if it'll work but if it does it'll be pretty cool. No thumb stud or anything added, just more material to be removed

been bangin away on a bunch of stuff, got a couple sheaths almost done today and hit the handle on this knife hopefully for the last time apart from some minor hand work. Bevels are all set, edge is applied, action is good and she's about ready to rock and roll

Are there washers or is it just blade on liners?
Is the hole by the front part of the handle for a locking pin?
I haven’t kept up with the build so it may have been answered already.

bronze phosphor washers, and yes that's what the hole's for. I'll be putting a thread together about this thing after I get my mark etched on there, probably with some video too. It'll explain why this dumb thing exists 😆

come to think of it, I should have collected some last Sunday, there was plenty leaking out of various holes and gashes around my knee
