thanks Richard. It's hard to love this knife right now with an unsculpted handle, hopefully that changes. I have a ball end carbide burr that gets chucked into the drill press for fullers and divots and things. The on the fly rpm adjuster really makes it viable, but I'm beginning to realize that I'm going to need a mini mill of some kindHa ha, I'm glad to read this, I wasn't going to say anything, but that's the blockiest SOB. The blade is gorgeous. I'm trying to understand how you did that 'divot' feature.
I have a plan for that little hole that hasn't yet gone into action. It's experimental, I don't know if it'll work but if it does it'll be pretty cool. No thumb stud or anything added, just more material to be removedI am really looking forward to seeing it all shaped up. That big ol' folding slab has a hell of an appeal.
Question: That hole that is placed in the depression which presumably might be used to open the knife, do you intend to put a thumb stud there or is that just part of the aesthetic?
