It's a regrind with an aftermarket acid etch, and the first frag pattern I've seen, probably a blade show special originally.

It's your buddy hvactech that sold that to him lol. It was actually reground and acid etched by the fellow I purchased it from. NorCal loved it so much he kept checking in with me about it so I sold it to him. He seemed to appreciate it better than me so that's what this is all about! It's in good hands now!

So I was partially right, it was sold to fund a puchase of a Les George, just now and not next year.

The trend has begun! 😉

Close I actually sold this before I thought about purchasing the other. But either way it all feeds each other at the end of the day lol. It's definitely an addiction 🔪
 
Just been a major George dump on the exchange from a fellow Les head. I’m awaiting his explanation 🥲 but a great chance for newbies to get one in hand. They’re moving quick though.

I saw it...and I think the fact that I resisted means I'm not quite in the Les camp (yet). I wavered momentarily...but convinced myself the VECP blade is too much like my trusty ZT 0550 I've owned for years.

I have a Large and a Small SHF. The former isn't a pocket tank, it's a howitzer. Difficult to open, easy to close. I think of that as a safety, 'think before you use' feature. The latter is smooth and has a 'Gentleman's' knife quality.

My Large and Small CRK 31 Sebenzas can be described in the same way.

It's impossible to not compare them and I wouldn't be able to provide a contrast or explain how they are different. Except, both sets are loaded with personality and potential. You won't know or understand this until you've deployed them into action.
