Only one...

I have to say BK9 as well. One can do just about anything with this knife. When I got mine it seemed smaller and lighter than I pictured it. It's lighter and more useful (too me) than the 2. Though I love the 2.

BK 11 - 1
Bk 2 - 12
BK 7 - 9
BK 9 - 14
BK 5 - 1

i'm pretty sure i voted for the BK4 Machax there, perhaps one or two others?

all y'alls missing out by KaBar not having these readily available.

there was one vote for the BK6 too

i sense a careful recount ;)

In the begining I only counted the given option presented by the O.P. then later for some reason I counted the BK 5. I'll go back and add those other ones in. This should be a poll.

Post script, I went back and read the first 3 pages. Cool thread. Yep forgot to add the bk4, missed it at the bottom of your post. As far as the BK6 machete goes, who knows. Maybe I didn't count it cause it wasn't in production anymore or maybe I missed it.
Don't want to do any more counting of these.
Poll started.

I'd bring the BK2, since I love the shape. It would give me something to lovingly stare at as I quickly starved to death, since I've never hunted and eaten a thing in my life and wouldn't have the faintest idea how to do it.

You would learn quickly. It's instinct. Men have been surviving off the land for many centuries, and many of them had no-one to show them. You just have to have confidence in your ability to adapt and overcome. You never know what you are capable of until the moment presents itself.

I would take a BK9. Even though mine isn't here yet, and I've never held one, I am a big knife guy.

As a born and raised Arkansas country boy, I would take my trusty BK7 & be happy as a pig in mud. I was just tickled to see a thread with home as the playing field.

I own 7 BK&T knives. 2,7,9,two 11's & 2 Remora's. I like them all. My answer would have to be the 9 for sure. But being the person that i am, i just can not envision any scenario where i would go into the wilderness with just one knife. Thats like asking which nut you like better---the left one or the right one. My answer would be BOTH-everytime, thank you very much ! LOL

30 freakin' days is a mighty long time for many things let alone processing wood. This being the case I go with the 9 - it was born for it.
