Ontario Utilitac II - Best modern folding knife under $30?

Who has bought one because of this thread? I only ask because I might by next.
Would like to see in in N690.

The solid construction and feel does make it seem like an expensive knife, same with the rat 1. There are so many 15~20 dollar knives but for 5 bucks more you can experience a real knife. For a while I only wanted sanrenmu and ganzo, didn't want to spend more than $15. The utilities and rat 1/2 are twice as expensive but 5 times better knives. They could easily sell for $50.

sounds like most people received it sharp, that's a good sign

Ontario does have a good working relationship with Fox Cutlery. I doubt we'll see a Utilitac in N690 though, sad to say.

Yep... amazing knife for the money. Got mine shipped to my door for $24 and change. Can't be beat I don't think. Best deal out there right now. And it has such great action... so smooth.

Mind if I ask where you found it that low?

There is a beautiful utilitac 2 tanto black blade for sale on this very forum right now shipped to your door NIB for 20 bucks..

I bought mine because of this thread. o4tg's honest and unbiased review is what sold me

Here's my round handle'd one with a benchmade deep-carry clip on it. Had to enlarge the holes and bend it a little more but its a easy fit.

What is a "seat pet"?

Oh, it's a cuddly little stuffed doll that latches onto your kid's seat belt. When they eventually knock out the seat pet's big head and soft body give your kid support as they sleep. Sorry for rambling. I feel like such a dad haha.

Ah, cool. Looks like he's pretty good at wielding a blade too.

Oh yeah, he's vicious haha.

So I still can't believe the action on this thing. No bs, I've got the pivot at that sweet spot where my blade does the PM2 drop as I disengage the liner lock. Anyone else's does this?
