Ok So now I have a BNIB ZT0551 w/ Frag Scale, ZT0550, Black G10 Tyrade and CF CPM154 Blur on the Way... as well as those Shuns that have been traveling the east coast for days...Stooopid USPS...They Came to NC on Saturday..then went back to PA and then came back to NC today lol maybe i'll have them tomorrow

The ZT stands won't hurt the edge of the knife right? I got my SG10 up there, but the edge is resting on the stand. I mean I'm pretty sure it's fine, but just wanted to check.
Chester, those franken TiLTs were beautiful. I'm going to have to get one for my collection. I just need to wait for my summer job to kick in.

I wouldn't worry if you just lay it on there nice..its not like your cutting into it...and the knife is light

Ah okay. That's unfortunate but I still want to give it a go just because it sounds like a nice all around steel.

You absolutely should. It's an amazing steel, it really is. Like I said, I can't speak much on ELMAX in terms of use, but I've heard and read that CPM-154 has great edge retention. I assume it's to do with the increased toughness coupled with a proper heat treatment of the steel.

I have an S30V Blur sitting in the closet, and haven't at all had he desire to put the S30V blade in my CF handle. I've been completely satisfied with this CPM-154 blade.

I've only had the experience of two steels, 8Cr13MoV and 14C28N. If I can scrounge up some money, then I'll be able to get that Damascus Skyline, but I won't be using it. Question: What do you guys put on your damascus blades to keep them from rusting?

I use Tuff Cloth/Tuff Glide. It works just fine, but NYC isn't usually a humid or corrosive environment.

As soon as I can get these new Damascus runs, I'm going to start using my Damascus Skyline a whole bunch. Especially since the scales are black, tapping one for a lefty clip isn't such a big deal as black Skyline scales are readily available. WOOT!
