Order of KAI Official Hang Out; Part Deux - It's Enrico Palazzo!

I live in very small town and they have cryo, ts tanto blur, funxion ems, black leek, and one another..... I really liked the blur and will be getting one soon. I looked everywhere yesterday and couldnt find a single store in this town that had pelican cases!

Gonna be hard to find Pelican Cases unless you have a gun store or something similar near you. I'm near a Bass Pro and I don't even think I've seen them in there. My local wallyworld had a Plano case about the size of the Pelican 1500 for $30 or so and even had pick and pluck foam. The only reason I didn't get that is because it has latches on the side as well. Not as sturdy or well built as a Pelican but 1/4 the price. I'm just looking for something to store the majority of my knives not really something to protect them from a stampede of elephants. I like Pelican cases but think it's a little overkill for me. I'm looking at Condition 1 cases on the bay. They get good reviews and are about half the Pelican price. Hope you find something to suit your needs.

I had a knife with me since I was 14 yrs old... now they restrict sales to 16yo... hmmm... but I bet they would let you buy a whole set of steak knives...

Just baught a mag tac flashlight for 50 bucks, it has 301 lumens, im happy. Most powerful ive ever held

Wait until you try a 2700 lumen light with just a single MT-G2 emitter. :) Very useful.

Ive never really owned a nice flashlight...What would be a could one to pick up for hunting?

Depends on what your preferences are in terms of form factor, battery type, and price range. For hunting I would recommend something with a high CRI or at least a neutral white emitter. Cool whites tend to wash out colors which may not be ideal if it's an outdoor light.

Also do some searches for beam profiles, and decide if you need a tight spot with a long throw range or a wider floody beam that covers more area at a shorter distance. I'd recommend a headlamp/hand light combo to cover both.

I happened to be at my local Walmart yesterday as well, and I stopped by the sporting goods area to check out the new TS Blur. They were completely sold out (the attendant even checked the store inventory system, and they were all gone). Thought I'd check out the Shuffle, since I saw the placeholder on the shelves for that. Also sold out. I was actually there to pick up a kitchen trash can (just a common 13-gallon one with the step), and they were sold out of those too. Was 0 for 3 yesterday...

Balls. That sucks.

Damon, congratulations on the promotion. Very cool, enjoy the higher compensation. I'll bet you can almost taste that Wicked Edge.

Kai Gino, that'd be a crazy cool thing to give everyone here a knife. Obviously everyone would be wicked grateful, but I agree with Juju, don't get into crap for our sake.

BTW, I have a Shuffle and Dave got some in as well, but if anyone sees any of the new imports at a local Walmart, let me know. PM me and maybe we can work something out.

Cheers gents. Back to work. Been helping a neighbor pack and move. This is the guy whose psycho wife left him and took the kids. He lives down the hall, and we're swapping apartments this week. The whole situation has him pretty beaten up, so I've been doing everything I can to help. Actually, he's the dude I gave the flashlight to that was going to be Eric's birthday present... Eh heh... I loaned him a knife for the move, and after a couple days he had it clipped to his pocket like a champ. :)

So, the 0801 got a beating today and performed perfectly. I love this knife the more I use it, and I used it all day.

Jim Skelton is a moron, I feel the need to say that. How he amassed a following like he did is really a bit disappointing. Likely to do with the fact that he just spends an inordinate amount of money on custom knives and people want to see them, but what he says in his videos shows a serious lack of expertise and a massive Prima Donna dildo lodged permanently in his rectum.

I'm back from Wal-Mart. They had all the new stuff except the TS Blur. They still had the regular Tanto with Serrations Blur, but they did have a spot for the TS one. I tried to buy a Shuffle, but the clerk said I had to be 16, and I'm 15. I wasn't going to walk home empty-handed though, so I bought a bunch of Little Debbie stuff :p.

Don't you have to be 18 to buy a knife??

Sort of, iveheard thatbut i have never dealed with that

Stick, i think your on to something, ive been watching him a lot, i don't really know, but he seems to have wierd preferencesand let off companies/makers for huge mistakes, but than blows up over tiny details,
Also, i really don't like his vid comparing the 0600 to the real thing, he kept saying that it shouldnt be at the same level pf snap, because of the price difference, but than moan about that reason for the rest of the vid

I have never seen a Skeleton video. Actually now that I think about it, I'm never really on youtube, except for when I feel like listening to 4 songs. And the only reason I listen to those 4 songs is because I can't get them on my phone.

Try vidtomp3.com. I use it to strip the audio off youtube vids all the time...

Im going to run up wallyworld now to see if I can find one of those plano cases......thanks

Anyone know how i can decompress mp3 files, it really bugs me, my cans can play 5 to 35000 hz, and i cant get the whole rumble feel and better clarity, the mp3sscrew with my headphones a bit

Truthfully, and I'll probably get myself in serious doodoo with, as Charlels calls them, "the bigs", but I was "thinking" of giving one knife to everyone that has posted in this thread over the last 2 weeks.

Wow that would be very kind but like others have said don't get in trouble for us.......

Well luckily my phone didn't screw with the files quality. NOW I have absolutely no reason to go to YouTube. :p

You can't decompress MP3 files. The file format is a lossy compression format and when audio is transcoded into that format, it discards a lot of information in order to achieve the compression.

If you want higher fidelity audio, you'll have to either look for higher quality MP3s, which max at 320kbps, or look for something in a format like WAV or FLAC. If I'm buying music, I order the CD and rip it to my specifications so I don't get it at a lossy compression already.

Also, while your headphones may have a frequency response beyond the 20-20k, your ears can't hear it. That doesn't mean they can't reproduce the clarity from the data of uncompressed audio, but you'll only hear the detail in the 20-20k Hz range. That being said, when you compare a CD to the 320kbps mp3 version of music with proper cans or speakers, you'll be amazed at the difference, audiophile or not.

So yeah...you cannot uncompress MP3s, so you'll have to find better audio.

Maybe in some areas, but the clerk said it was 16.

I'm beyond excited to finally own one! I can't even explain it. I need about $60 and I'll have enough.

Tread carefully with "the bigs" Gino. I would hate to see you get in trouble because of us.

How the hell do you come up with those?
Ok don't know why it multi quoted daymon?
Because it can.

I know i cant hear those hz, its just that it gives a feel of more volume, and most of the music i listen to play inaudible frequencies to (of the lower end) add a feel of rumble

Actually now that I think about it, I think I'm going to take my M4 Griptilian to the beach. It seems like a perfect beach knife........Other than a dive knife, or a Spyderco Salt knife.
