Yes, but it's cerakoted, so it shouldn't rust, except maybe on the edge, but I'm going to reprofile it after I get back anyways. Because unlike DLC, cerakote protects the blade against rust.
That, and it's a cake walk to disassemble if the need ever arises. Also since my M4 Griptilian is uber special, most of the inside metal is cerakoted too.

Truthfully, and I'll probably get myself in serious doodoo with, as Charlels calls them, "the bigs" , but I was "thinking" of giving one knife to everyone that has posted in this thread over the last 2 weeks.

That would be awesome but like others have said don't get yourself into any trouble over it.

Actually now that I think about it, I think I'm going to take my M4 Griptilian to the beach. It seems like a perfect beach knife........Other than a dive knife, or a Spyderco Salt knife.

Wouldn't M4, being a non-stainless tool steel, be more susceptible to corrosion/rust in salt water?

Any steel will rust...it is an alloy of iron. Granted some steels are more resistant to rust than others, but in time the results are the same. Just keep your knives clean and wiped down after you know they've been exposed to the nasty elements. :thumbup:
