Question guys....im going to buy pelican case tonight and want to make sure im getting what i want. Do all of them come with pick and pluck foam and what size can i get say 50 knives in?
 
I think the polarized lenses would be worth it. Maybe pick up an uber cheap pair of gas station polarized lenses first so you know how they function. The only thing irritating about them is they make the screens on smart (and probably dumb) phones get all funny colored. Or I could be hallucinating - not sure.
 
Polarized depends on one major factor... For driving and normal outside activities I say it is totally worth the money. If you text, use an ipad, watch vids outside on a device, or read tablets outside then don't get polarized... Screens look crazy through polarized lenses and will give you a headache fast for anything except a quick text or something.

Oh ya my watch and light came today. The foursevens quark pro is awesome, just a little bigger than a Chapstick and plenty bright with 7 modes that are easily accessed. It is perfect for what I wanted it for, thanks for the advice stick. My tibolt is gonna be a while longer I just got a pm and the guy I bought it from forgot to mail it so it starts it's journey from Cali to ky tomorrow :p

Just check the description. It will say with foam or without foam. Did you check out the plano case at wallyworld? Think I'm gonna get it despite the extra clasps. The one at my wallyworld is roughly the same size as the Pelican 1500 for less. A lot less.

Do you mean xl or xlj? If so different shaped lense. I personally like the flak jackets over half jackets. I have owned both.
 
My wallyworld didnt have any of the plano cases at all....with the pelican tho is all the foam pick and pluck? i know i need to look and see if foam comes with it but is all foam pick and pluck or do i need to look for that certain kind?
 
Thanks guys, my current cheap pair are polarized, and I don't mind it messing up the screen.
I think I'm going to get the flashlight now, and the Oakleys once I get my license. And I think I'm going to go premium like you said.

All the foam is Pick-N-Pluck.

You guys should check out Seahorse cases. I got one for my ASR Carbine and its amazing for the money. They have several sizes and you can get them with the pluck foam inserts. They are oring sealed and waterproof to 2 meters I think, it might be just 1 meter but doesnt matter.

What is the fascination on getting knives pimped? Like...really? What is it about pimping a knife that makes people cream their pants?

I have always wondered the same thing. I did get a Rival scale for my 0550 because I didnt like the original on that one knife but for the most part I like them as they come

People like to be original. I like to do minor stuff on cheaper knives. For example, I'd like to anodize a Kershaw dimension.
