Great story. It's always special finding something from your dad. I still have the Swiss Army Knife my dad gave me a long time ago, means a lot to me.

They are pretty excellent, I remember them from the passaround. Amazing knives, really a pleasure to use. They kind of made me feel like I was a better cook.
 
they are quite stellar, i have two shun edo and i couldnt be happier. I feel spoiled using them, but i cook every meal, from scratch so its useful to have good knives
 
I can't cook anything to save my life. I just put stuff over a fire or in the microwave. Every once in AWHILE, I'll put a pizza in the oven.

If my wife read this maybe she would agree that it would make me a better cook and buy us a set! Ha!
