Dude love that song. Thanks for sharing. I really like his vocals. I wish he'd sing more than growl. Lol

It looks like I'm moving up in the "corn detasseling world". Today I was asked if I could switch groups after lunch to help out a couple foremens with kids. That doesn't happen that often. I'm happy!

Stick, I care about the S15. That's the light I have my eye on when corn detasseling is done.

Oh yeah, I have the day off tomorrow. Whoa!

Is detasseling different from "shucking" or are they two words for the same thing?

Yes, when you detassel corn you're removing the part of the plant that produces pollen (it grows at the top of the plant, it looks like pieces of wheat) when you shuck corn you're removing the husk. :)

Thanks. We never raised corn, although I think an alternate name for wheat is "einkorn." I harvested plenty of that, with plenty of chaff down the back of my neck. Hard work.

Your scales are quite good sir. I still have the one you sent me. I don't use my 0550 anymore, but I treasure it and your work as gifts with stories attached. :D I look forward to seeing more of your micarta work.

So..how's that light workin' out for ya!?

Thanks for the kind words! I have refined my work a good bit since the scale I sent you.
Loving the light! It gets used more often than I had imagined I would use it. Thank again for your generosity!

This is freaking amazing.

Finally sitting at the comp. I was fixing a Jeep today, put a waterpump and thermostat on it. I packed up, went to leave and my Jeep wouldn't start! I'm thinking I left a light on or something. I check voltage and it's good. I move the Jeep down the driveway and try again, click, click, click, then nothing. It has to be the starter right? So I crawl under there and have it off in under 15 minutes.

I have to borrow the jeep I just got done fixing to run to the store and have mine tested which was a little embarrassing. I get there they hook it up and it sounds like an old fashioned metal hand mixer! He grabs the new one puts it on to test and it sings like a high end margarita mixer! So I end up working on my jeep about the same time it took me to fix their jeep minus running for parts.

SO there goes some knife funds, sniffle, tear.

My car won't start either, but I'm pretty sure it's just a tired battery that needs to be replaced. That lead-acid tech only goes so far.
