GEC always means lots of sudden interest. For many this will be the only GEC knife they can comfortably order, with no stress on missing THE drop.

Maybe it should be 100+ posts in this sub-forum in the past year, with any posts in this thread not counting towards those 100.

For most it is easy to make 25, useful, posts in a few days, so I do not understand why there needs to be spamming behaviour.

Despite the worries, like last year, there are plenty of knives to go around. The true price is also higher, since you have to pay for membership to get it, thus it makes it less interesting for someone that buys just to re-sell or "catch and release"

Why, a few dealers seem to have a number of older GECs in stock. Even GEC's web store had some recently. If one wants to try out a GEC, they shure can get some.

Loooong time member, yes. Paying member - not so much until lately. I discovered this forum when I was just starting a family (5 year old & 1 year old) back in early 2000's when BM still offered the AFCK, obsessed HARD, got burned out and left. Now that my kids have flown away and I've pulled my father into the hobby, I came back and was surprised my account is still here and active.

This post is not an attempt to boost my count on this sub-forum, just following up. :)

StoneDog StoneDog thanks for having integrity- pro move. I don't get to decide who gets one and who doesn't, but if I was able to- that would have earned you a 2023 forum knife.

ETA: and if you asked, you might still be eligible. The rules have been slightly ambiguous across the two Forum Knife threads.

CANCELLATIONS:
If you need to cancel for whatever reason, cool. Reply to your paypal receipt with "CANCEL" in the title and I will refund ASAP.

WRONG ADDRESSES:
If you've screwed up your address, you need to fix it in Paypal. I will not ship to an address not on the Paypal payment as that will screw me if the knife goes missing. GET YOUR ADDRESSES CORRECTED AND SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH "WRONG ADDRESS" in the title; I'll get you refunded ASAP.

SALES TAX:
If you were charged sales tax (first 100 or so), mea culpa. If you want it refunded, reply to the paypal receipt with "SALES TAX REFUND" in the title. If you don't care, no worries, thank you for understanding that I am brain damaged and ate paint chips + possibly am quite dumb.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
I am talking with Charlie, Paris, et al regarding this. We'll get it figured out.

Heads up, there will be a PRICE INCREASE AFTER THE KNIVES GET HERE
The preorder price is the preorder price. If there are any left after the knives get here, it's no longer a pre order. If you are biding your time, don't wait long.

Are you sorting by serial number so they go out by order number? Seems like extra work vs. just random shipping, but kind of interesting to see where we all ended up in the order list.

Fixed blades don't count. Neither do old stock at exaggerated flipper prices.
 
Fixed blades became popular the past couple of years. Before that GEC was seen as mainly a folding knife company. I remember the fixed blades remaining unsold for a long time, whilst the folding ones would sell quickly.
I think these days anything branded GEC sells (unless it is a keychain knife :)
