More fantastic knives Charlie, you did have a great show, congratulations!

Here is the list of Navy knives and we already know of one other, the Thomaston.

Charlie, did you get the name of the man who so passionately and determinedly amassed such an amazing collection ? He deserves to be canonized for his passion and wondrous achievement !!;), by his fellow brothers. And his knives noted to have originated from his collection in reverence

Gev, the fellow who collected those trays of knives has gone to meet his Maker. Tony Berg is selling them for the family. I don't want to break the rules here, so I will stop at that!!
I appreciate having custody of the knives for a while, and hope someone will do the same for my family in the distant future!!

Thanks for the list, John, and thanks to all for the nice words of appreciation and all the "likes" everyone!! I hope more folks will post some knives and pictures!!
Duncan, I just plain didn't get to the HJs!! Tony had trouble finding the tray(s) of HJs, and then we ran out of show!!!:mad::(:p:rolleyes:

Dogs allowed!! As long as they behaved themselves!!:)
Thanks for these and other pictures, Dan!!

Now we need more knife pics!! No more holding back guys and girls!! Show us what you scored!!;)

Pictures of some of the displays have been posted in past year's threads, however, I think they are worth being posted again this year. A couple of pics have already been posted of this scout display. Here it is in it's entirety.

I have been going to the Eugene knife show on and off for over twenty five years and can honestly say this was one of the best shows ever!!!
Not only were there so many fantastic knives for sale and on display, but the Bowie Knife association was also there with an incredible array of both folding and fixed blade knives.
(mostly Sheffield of course) And if that wasn't just great enough, to hang out with guys like waynorth, knowtracks, and danno50, made the show so much more special.
It has been brought up that knowtracks had a wonderful display of "Schatt & Morgan" knives, but I didn't see mentioned that he also won an award for his display!!!
Anyone who is on the fence for the next year's Eugene show had better get off the fence and start running in that direction. :)
I had the privilege of seeing a few of the fine knives that waynorth found at the show and certainly nice to see them posted here along with finds from others.
And yes, I also found a few good knives there...
Here is a big old "Challenge" hunter at 4-3/4 inch closed.

Here's that other Schrade Cut I was talking about a couple of posts back! It is a 2813 Texas Jack, according to the 1926 Schrade Cut Co Catalog. 4 inches long, most of these have clip blades, in my experience, and are therefore numbered 2813 3/4! Look at that rich, dark, old (what I call) pick bone - making it an earlier knife. Snappy and full, with a nice patina!! I love this knife. Amazing what you can find in Oregon!!:)

My cat loves to lap up cream but I'm lapping this one up even more.:D Wonderful size with impressive jigging, near sunk joints and rarity aspect. Make an astounding SFO...;)

Thanks for linking me to this from the Spear thread:thumbsup:

Our haul for the trip consists of those knives, buttons, a wonderful book, some U of O apparel, a #15 and, best of all, the start of some friendships.

Thank you, gentlemen, for your kindness to my children. It's had quite the impact on them.

Here are the gems my little family came away with, thanks to the generosity of several members here.

Each of my children got a knife, thanks to the generosity of @knowtracks and waynorth waynorth .
GePREPO.jpg

And each got a fistful of buttons thanks to @knowtracks, waynorth waynorth & gunstockjack gunstockjack .

MygTxtV.jpg

I purchased this wonderful book from Dale Larson and a great #15 from gunstockjack gunstockjack (I'm a sucker for those standard, cresent nail nicks).

And I finally had an opportunity to show waynorth waynorth my two favorite #15 barlows. I have a couple more that I'll likely never part with, but these two are probably my all-time-favorites.

Thank you again to you three gentlemen for making this knife show so wonderful for my kids. They are working on some thank you notes that I'll send to you three via PM soon. And, although I don't think he's on BF, deep thanks to Dale Larson, not only for sharing the wonderful "Forrest Bowie," but also for all the work he put into this impressive book. He has to be taking a significant loss on the book if you consider all the research and the publication's very high quality. It's clear he brought this work to fruition, at a personal loss, in order to make a contribution to knife collectors and historians. Simply wonderful. Thank you all. I look forward to seeing everyone next year.

An absolutely wonderful post. Thank you for sharing your experiences at the knife show with the rest of us. And kudos to you sir for taking your family with you and exposing and teaching them to and about this great hobby. It's uplifting and encouraging to see parents such as yourself. Beautiful knives you have there too! Best of luck to you and your fine family.
And thank you waynorth waynorth Charlie, gunstockjack gunstockjack Barry and @knowtracks Dave for being such great ambassadors. You guys are greatly appreciated.
