OT - Just Bought my First Flashlight - Hmmmm

I've been looking for another light, Fenix PD31 is what I carry now. I keep a set of 123s on a charger I keep in the patrol car. But really looking for a good AA.

I'm still stuck on AA powered flashlights. Never liked the idea of flaming acid explosions (yes I'm paranoid).

Anyway, love my TK41, great runtime and while 800 lumens may not be a lot today it's still fantastic compared to most flashlights.
Same goes for the 4sevens AA-2 X.

All the guys here are pretty big into flash lights as well, Especially Beef. I just use the one on my phone :D

That's because beef can probably throw a flashlight as far and fast as a bullet. No need to carry a gun. A flashlight and a bussekin are all he needs...

EDC since the day they came out ;)

Hello
Flashlight people
Knife people

I'm trying thrunite stuff since a few weeks ti4 tn12 and th10 in neutral white, very cool!

I've never understood flashlight mania. I have a Surefire on the nightstand, in the car and in my desk at work. Beyond that I've never seen the need for a collection.

Are you Virtuvice on YouTube? Or just mimicking? Love when he says that "hello, knife people"

HDS is pretty awesome.

I have had them for over a decade.

Helps that they were based in Tucson and have bought hundreds of holsters from me ;)

The first FourSevens Quark Clicks have come in here. Nice straight-forward light for those not wanting a bunch of extra modes. If only the mode programming could be done by the end-user, they'd be a great light.

Yup, me too.
Couple HDS, Malkoff's, FoxFury, a few Surefire, and Fenix lights.

EDC right now is an HDS LE250 and a FoxFury Rook Checkmate.

So the more I look and learn I decided I need a baby light!

Anyone have experience with the Nitecore EC11. Pretty cool!!

Got a bunch of lights, nothing particularly exotic or custom, a bunch of Surefire products (some with McCicky and Malkoff mods), Streamlights etc etc. My present favourite is a Zebralight SC52 that I either run a standard AA when traveling or a 14500 when home and near my charger.

Flashlight collection is another slippery slope. There are so many manufacturers so you see something new every other day. They also depreciate in value pretty fast as flashlight LED technology is moving so quickly.

I used to collect them but have slowed down with my purchases since I found the lights that work for me. For my night jungle hike, I am using a custom P60 mule (neutral XPG2) from Nailbender for my walking light. I pair it with a Malkoff neutral Hound Dog on a MD4 body for long range spotting. HDS is always in my backpack when I go for holiday. I also have some Malkoff, Surefires, Elzetta, Eagletac, Armytek, Zebralight etc which I place at a different corners of the house and in my car lol.

My grail is McGizmo Haiku which I still cannot put myself to pull the trigger.

You guys are a bunch of "flashaholics". LOL
While I fell in love with flashlights at an early age, From giant 6 cell maglights to tiny surefire lights and weapon lights..
All these custom lights that sell for $500 up to $2000 I cannot see myself getting unless I win the lottery.
A 20.00 dollar light will do what you need it to it just wont look as cool. I'm not talking about weapon lights, But one to help you see in the dark.
Unless you drop it and it breaks!! Maybe I do Need one!! or 2 in case the first one breaks!!
Oh shit, I think I'm getting hooked already!
No wait, that would decrease my busse money! :)
Just Kidding, Keep posting pics of all those badass lights with Busse content please..

Did someone say flashlights..... ;)

As others have said check out HDS. Love their stuff and the toughest out there.

Here is a pic of one of my HDS lights I froze in a jug of water. Light is still functioning.

About one third of my "collection". Some custom, some off the shelf, one prized Milky Spit "Albatross",one thrilled seven year old son and one pissed off wife. So it goes....
Had two HDS lights, both have been lost at my upstate NY property for over two years now;I fully expect to find them one day functioning as though nothing had ever happened. Worth every penny.
Then there's the watches and the pens.
