OT - Just Bought my First Flashlight - Hmmmm

I think my next flashlight is going to be the Nitecore EC4S!!!

2150 lumens from a single Cree 4-die LED!!! 2 x 18650 or 4 x CR123. Has a die-cast unibody, which I'm not terribly sure about, but Nitecore makes some great stuff, and at under $100, it's worth a shot.

People are trying to get a group buy on these right now too. I'm in there. Hoping to get the price down to about $50-$60. I have one Nitecore and no problems. I've been seeing more complaints about them though. I might stay away from them for a bit other than the EC4S. Even this one has had some reports of issues even before the release. I hope they got the kinks all worked out.

I've got a few Nitecore lights, and I think the "issues" get overblow on CPF. One of the various reasons I don't hang out there much anymore. At $50-$60, the EC4S is definitely worth a shot! Even at $90-$100 at other dealers, I think it's a TON of light for the money. Keep us posted on the group buy.

Ok..as said before I'm a Surefire guru. Love me some Surefire LEDs. The P2X and G2X I put rubber heat shrink on and painted some of the others

Red, White, and Blue HL1s, x300 and x300 Ultra, Minimus headlamp, OD 6P...and I just picked up an EB1 off the exchange. One can never have too much illumination. And my favorite of all...M6LT Guardian. ...1100 lumens of direct SUN BEAM. That thing is mega bright.
