Hope you went to Crazy Horse!!!???

BWT nice piece you are doing here:thumbup:!

Hi, thanks for the positive feedback. It's appreciated. This thread has not gotten much feedback so I didn't know how much it's being enjoyed or not. As long as you and a couple of others who have posted here, enjoy taking the "arm chair trip" and seeing the places we've been to, I'll keep posting.

Crazy Horse photos are coming up next. Took a lot of them. Their museum was outstanding with many, many beautiful things....

I'm posting this from an iPhone and I can't post photos from this. I'll try to get to the computer this evening and post from it so you can see the beautiful pictures of Crazy Horse and the outstanding Native arts and crafts.

I appreciate the feedback. :):):D

Glad you're enjoying this thread....We really enjoyed the trip. Yes, it's a great way to see America.
I prefer the small roads instead the highways and that also lets us see more than what's near the freeways.....

I should have been a long distance trucker as I love being on the road....lol....:D

Thanks.....:):p:D I appreciate your post....

.

Just to clarify, this trip took place LAST YEAR. My daughter and I made it home sound and safe. :D

OK, Crazy Horse was next. Here is the Crazy Horse Monument...

Looks still like it did years ago, or does it?

Took this picture of a picture that was taken a long time ago when they were actively working on it...

The museum was fabulous. The old bead-work was unbelievably beautiful. I have nearly a hundred pictures taken there, but will post a few here...

This picture is not in focus, but the statue speaks so strongly, I'll show it to you anyway.

Made of the hair of the horse...very fine braiding.

These are incredibly beautiful...

Some beautiful old bead work..

There were some beautiful fire arms and a great knife...and the gun bag is beautifully beaded...

From Crazy Horse we headed toward Wyoming. We didn't find a suitable place to park for the night and drove until wee hours in the morning.

There were so many, MANY deer on the road and next to it I asked Cass to be my second set of eyes. The going was slow until we got out of the area...

Following will be some of the things we saw on our way to Cody, Wyoming...

There is something about the desert I love...

I find the trip really enjoyable. Don't know when I'll have the time or opportunity to do it again...

Cass enjoys it too for the most part. Sometimes she whines about all the "boring old farts" and their constant talking....LOL....
She says it all depends of what they talk about....

To me it is amazing to see all the new and old friends. Some I haven't seen in a couple of decades or longer and others in ten years...

WOW, and we all were young once, and now we are "Old Farts" according to the viewpoint of a 19 year old....

Anyway, on the way to Sheridan Wyoming...there were some beautiful skies...

1toWY11.jpg

For miles upon miles there was nothing but empty desert, then all of a sudden out of nowhere there was this...

Mind you this was IN A MIDDLE OF NOWHERE....

1toWY12.jpg

A close up....

1toWY13.jpg

Then things got back to normal...

1toWY14.jpg

Finally Sheridan Wyoming.... I've always liked that city. Have some old friends from there, so I've visited there a few times before...
and even taken a week long horseback trip to the "Saw Tooth Mountains"...

Sheridan....

I saw this interesting BIG statue there...
