Our "Front Porch" ....

Well, not 4x4s, but they can sure haul ass! First annual club fall cruise, and while we only had 6 cars, the weather was perfect, and we had quite the spirited ride on some nice curvy country roads I never knew existed in Iowa!

Toys that go vroom and nature mixed w/ architecture captured by nice quality camera gear...you guys took some beautiful photos.
 
I agree. It looks like you guys had a great time. I used to have a couple buddies that had Honda Prelude's like mine, 1992 obviously ;), and we used to cruise around St. Louis when I lived in that area. Good times, good times.

You should print that out and use that as one of your Halloween portraits in the house. Would work as great Halloween decor :D
 
Well not quite from the porch but, a short walk from my porch. I'm reminded as I stroll of quieter times and slower paces.
I hear nothing but the sound that wind makes as it traverses a body of water and meets the shore again. Rustling of leaves and the geese that occassionally protest my presence.
This is a calm place, one that I visit when I feel the need and sometimes to stave off the need.
I hope you all have such a place and that you go there even when you don't need to. :)

Stick with that which asks for little and expects even less - simple.

 
Rubi......I know exactly what you mean.....here's the view from my cottage deck........nothing better than starting the day with a hot cup of coffee there or on the dock......and then just waiting to see what the day would bring or what you felt like doing.......
Simpler often is better......or is at least important to experience once in a while.........
Glad to see you have a beautiful place to go........
