Our "Front Porch" ....

Very very very TRUE! and it shows in everything they do from those days forward. The inability to problem solve, self-motivate, show initiative, multi-task, communicate, prioritize....
I believe those synapse connections are made in the sandbox, in a tree, playing tag, Hide and seek, imagining a stick is a pony and a shadow is a bad guy.
I feel sorry for (some) of todayts youth and even more sorry for those who are of the age that these mental midgets are going to be the ones they depend on for care and services.
Is it any wonder we are slipping as a society and few even notice.

Couldn't agree more... There is a lot behind this. So scared of and for this upcoming generation of kids.

Thanks Rubi!!!!!!!!!!!! This is exactly at the core of the arguments that I have been having with my 14 year old son for the past 6 months. I printed it and posted it on our fridge much to the delight of my wife.

Everyone having a great weekend? I know I am! Bought a new car, and first time experiencing White Castle!

^ HAHA! Lone wolf I just laughed so loud my dog almost jumped through the ceiling. Beautiful new car BT. Congratulations. That looks fun to drive.

I had a two hour drive home after I ate there! All was well, but it did sit a little heavy in the stomach.
And I absolutely love this car!

Looks like a Pontiac GTO to me.

That was my other thought, basically same rig. Both a distant memory now.

Shame. BOTH great American Iron - Balls to the Wall, Go Fast and Make noise. Screw politeness. :)

It's the GTO. I can just make out what looks like a long (vertical) moniker on the back trunk lid.

Sweet ride BT!

I noticed in the RHK shop as I'm sure most of you have that there is a Rick Hinderer specials category now. Any word on what that may be?!!! I'm all excited over here now.

Yup, it is a 2005 GTO, 6.0 LS2, 400hp/tq (cold air intake, Flowmasters, chipped), and only 22k miles. It MOVES!

Noticed that too. But I plan to just visit the page every few days and see what's what.

It's nice. You listed off several wish-list auto recently and I think you purchased a somewhat unassuming "sleeper". Add a s/c and let her come to life!

If you're gonna go...go BIG & Screw the supercharger...put a tall deck RHS Forged 477 LS7 in it and FTW! (600+ ft/lbs to the tires)

Coming from the school of "Been there, Done that" I vote for just driving it and having fun :)

I've lifted Jeeps too high and pushed Cars to far - ended up selling em' all. Lot to be said for just letting things be.

Yeah, I am quite happy with the power, fastest car I have ever driven. It gets squirrely when it shifts into 2nd and the traction control kicks in. Haven't wound out 2nd yet, but I suspect I'll get some chirp going into 3rd.

And yes, I love the understated "sleeper" look it has, less chance of being a cop magnet.

Very nice car BT. Gotta love 400 ponies and black paint with tinted windows.
