Well, Honestly Today kinda wore my arse out so, Enjoy guys. Have fun and always remember "Home to ALL who want to come and enjoy - RHK's House". It IS what We ALL make of it.
and with that...... Goodnight.
Sounds like I've missed an interesting day around here. Hopefully everyone survived relatively unscathed and a few new Hinderers are in good hands.
Nice looking down at the bottom of the forum and seeing all the regulars in here. Like seeing newcomers to the heard. Just want em to come in smile and join in. Lotta "outsiders" in here today. Feels like that relaxing period after a big party is over when it's just the people you like left sitting around enjoying a drink.![]()
I want to touch briefly on yesterday. Please just read it - not trying to start a discussion. Some things in Life are funny (HaHa) and some are just funny wierd.
I have always been interested in human behavior and the way people act when alone vs in a group is particularly interesting. Layer on to that ritualistic behavior and it gets to be the latter brand of funny.
Take for instance the way some peole behave when invited to a party. There are parties where you know everyone and ones that you are going as a guest but know no one. Your behavior probably differs.
Imagine now a small community that decides to have a chicken barbeque and they put up a sign that says,
Next Sunday - Chicken Barbeque Come one come all and bring your appetite". Word spreads and the day draws near. As usual, few do the work to benefit the many but the goal remains to have some fun, eat some chicken and just basically do the American thing.
Day arrives and many show up, most know each other and pleasantries are exchanges and the festivities begin.
It isn't long before some arrive from various other communities, afterall the sign did say "come one come all and eat"
Now, conventional behavior is such that those new or unfamiliar with the customs or ways of the host community would walk around and nod and smile and say thank you a lot. Eventually chats would start up and introductions and everything and everybody would start to come together.
What shouldn't happen is for the new arrivals to almost immediately start complaining and joking about how the effort or execution of the hard working organizers were woefully inadequate and not up to the expectation of the new arrivals who obviously would have done it different/better and more to their liking.
Manners, Politeness, and Respect should not be ignored at a community picnic nor should it be when it is delivered through a keyboard and internet connection.
I have always maintained (or tried) to maintain a very even keel atmosphere for enjoyment here on RHK BF. ALL are welcome to come and if they are willing to adhere to some very reasonable guidelines -stay as a "regular".
I continually ask Rob and Rick and Regulars if that is being accomplished. This is YOUR Forum, not mine.
It is what Rob and Rick want it to be and what you all make it to be.
So, Thank you for listening. Thank you for all your support of an amazing American Brand and most of all - Thank you for being who you are.
Folks I would love to have show up at my community picnic.![]()

Thanks for all of your hard work and insight Rubi. You are one of the good guys. Your efforts and patience are appreciated.
I do love when you lay the smack down on the bad guys though.
