Our "Front Porch" ....

Man, I guess I can't complain about our 80 yesterday afternoon to low 20s tonight. :) I would still trade it for some real cold and that white stuff I've only seen in pictures. :D

So I got to go on my first hunt as an adult this past weekend (Dad used to take me when I was a kid). Had a good time. We hunted pheasant. Big difference between shooting paper targets and hitting birds in the air. Definitely a learning experience.

Yeah, it's cold but the chicken soup was great. My wife made some chili the day before as well. It was all about warmth and comfort at my house this weekend. Only left to go to church and to get a new set of jumper cables, just in case.
 
Looking at 50* today and wind chills of -35 tomorrow - insane weather.

So Cold my XM stuck me to keep me from taking it out of my pocket.
 
Has not gotten Warmer than -9* (windchill -35*) yet today. Never remember this happening before.

I think Dr. Evil is to blame.

I blame Al Gore...all the global warming nonsense from him and all his green energy buddies to line their pocketbooks has caused too much climate change in the opposite direction...

That's pretty dang warm!!! Wow! That is a heat wave for AK this time of year.... I remember a couple winters ago people were shoveling 24" of snow of there roofs :)
 
Yeah, three days ago all of the trees were white. It's really annoying though, stuff melts all day then freezes overnight - walked to the mailbox yesterday and was wishing I was wearing ice skates..
 
Anybody else seeing A LOT of ads and Website acting up / sluggish????

I just renewed my Gold and am wondering now if I should have!

Yep, I saw that.

However...quoted directly from the e-mail I received to renew my membership...

I put my foil cap on my head today and am blaming HAARP for the weather. -15 F three days ago and 60 F today.
 
PSA: New season of Archer tonight!

It's already been on once (actually on for the second time right now, but I couldn't get to my TV earlier), but for any other fans out there set your DVRs now!
 
Anybody have a good photo or few of the Ka-Bar TDI Hinderer collaboration knife??...it resembles the TDI Wharnies, but of course not as "nice". Only image I've seen so far is blurry. But I know I'm getting one or a few when they are available.

ETA: it's a Hellfire and is very similar to Rick's Hellfire bladeshape in that it's a modified tanto and is a recurve.
