Thank you, the delta jack is an interesting pattern, simple and very comfortable.Congrats on receiving another fine one.
Fairly recently because he said he was going to finish up my poison frog knife and get it out to me after the Holdays so I think it was about two or three weeks ago I last heard from him when he confirmed shipment. He did say he was taking some time off around the Holidays to get some well deserved R & RNot heard from Willem since early December when we were in discussions. He said there were on-going infrastructure problems etc but said he'd get back soon.
Anybody had recent communication?

It would take quite an effort to find the posts, but I feel like he made a post or two of a newly finished knife back around new years... don't remember whether it was before or after, but I think I saw it in the Custom Slipjoint Haven group on Facebook FWIW.Not heard from Willem since early December when we were in discussions. He said there were on-going infrastructure problems etc but said he'd get back soon.

Those are great kudu scales Paul.Based on the GEC 15 Farmboy. O1 blade, bolsters, and springs. Kudu bone covers.

Had to buff them up a little but they are decent now. Thanks, Bob.Those are great kudu scales Paul.
I wasn’t sure about it either but Willems thinking was that when the bolster picks up a patina, at least brass tarnishes as well. He said a stainless pin would look odd. I guess no carbon pins on handYes, beautiful scales, good proportion to the knife , very nice long pulls and Rat-TailNot sure I like visible pins of another colour on a bolster but tastes vary.
Remarkable material you've hit upon there.I think my Van Gogh project might actually happen. I found an appropriate block of dyed Karelian birch that I swear looks so much like Starry Night that it’s almost unreal. If Willem is successful in getting it, this project has some serious legs.
Only thing I need help with is what knife pattern? I’m leaning towards the gunstock McNative with a crescent moon shield if possible.

Yes, makes sense as the bolster will patina depending on material. Just my taste. Many people enjoy the contrast a lotI wasn’t sure about it either but Willems thinking was that when the bolster picks up a patina, at least brass tarnishes as well.
