Congrats on your lamb. Love the African blackwood.
Goodness gracious that's a nice knife, congratulations on a beauty.
I know I’ve already commented on it but I keep coming back to look. Joking aside, I need this knife! When I have the funds for a custom knife this is it.
Michael, another great creation. The proportions look fine to me and color matches concept of the poison frog. Congrats. My special build poison frog. I think it turned out amazing.
Is it ok to have a fullered bolster on just one end? I didn’t request it that way but haven’t seen him do a delta jack like that before if there is one shouldn’t it be on the other end too? Could it be the photo angle and groove that makes the bolsters seem to be different sizes?Michael, another great creation. The proportions look fine to me and color matches concept of the poison frog. Congrtat.![]()
I hope not, I wanted it to be equal end. when he asked about one fluted bolster I said no but maybe this is a thing? Having one side fluted? It’s a minor nitpick, it also could be he’s not finished yet, not sure where in the process the fluting is done. I’m reaching out to him to ask. Personally, I woud think that on an equal end like this you’d espect the ends to be identical.Could it be the photo angle and groove that makes the bolsters seem to be different sizes?
It’s your knife, and your taste is what counts, but, FWIW, I think it looks great as is. Kind of a Barehead Bolster look.I hope not, I wanted it to be equal end. when he asked about one fluted bolster I said no but maybe this is a thing? Having one side fluted? That is beautiful. I personally don’t mind the fluting on one end. You could think of the fluting as a no-look locator for when the equal end knife is in your pocket, you’ll know which end is which by feel.My special build poison frog. I think it turned out amazing.

Thanks, i just wasn’t’ sure.I agree with Jim, I think the single blade looks good with the fluted bolster only on the business end. It would NOT look right on a double-ended knife.
The bolsters on a fixed blade never look the same fore and aft.
